The January 20, 1964 edition of Sports Illustrated was the first time the magazine featured swimsuit-clad beauties. The cover model, 21-year-old Babette March, looks positively Victorian compared to cover girls of recent years. (In case you're wondering, Babette's wearing a leather bikini!)

I was born 52 years ago in Western Massachusetts. I have 3 brothers who are all in public safety. I've been married for 28 years with 3 kids and 3 grandkids. I just celebrated 30 years of being a firefighter and hold the title of Assistant Fire Marshal. My hobbies are computer games, primarily Flight Sims and role playing games like City of Heroes. I collect Nascar diecast and have over 1,300 pieces in my collection. I attend as many races as I can, usualy in Loudon, New Hampshire and Charlotte. I also enjoy going to airshows and traveling to my in-laws home in the Netherlands. I really like viewing the older clips that remind me of my childhood.

Gumby is a green humanoid figure who was the subject of a 223-episode series of American television shows over a 35-year period. He was animated using stop motion clay animation. The show also featured Pokey, an redish orange clay pony, and Gumby's nemeses, the Block Heads

I am one of six boys my mom and dad raised. Grew up in southeastern Michigan. Back then ya couldn't keep us in the house. No computers or cable TV, We made our own fun. Football, Baseball, Hockey, We even made our own Ice Rink every year. Went into the army 1980, thought gonna get drafted,wanted to get in before. Reagan just got into office The Hostages, Remember? Met my beautiful wife in the service. Lived in Germany a couple years,had such a great time. Been married going on 26 years. Lots of rough times but thats made us appreciate the good times. Did various jobs over the years. Cooked in lots of restaurants loved it but hated the hours. Weekends nights Holidays, Aargh. Just recently moved into our own Home, Own it! Such a Blessing, goes to show ya Do good, good things will come your way. To be included in the profiles of members is an honor to me. Such great people here! Thanks Steve for the Invite! This is a fascinating 1984 commercial for Canon typewriters. This one has computer-like features to automatically line up decimals and make changes. In other words, it's heralding the very technology that will soon render it obsolete!

'Here Comes Peter Cottontail' was a 1971 Easter television special that was based on a 1957 novel by Priscilla and Otto Friedrich entitled 'The Easter Bunny That Overslept', and featured the title song "Here Comes Peter Cottontail". It was originally broadcast on ABC, and in later years, appeared on CBS. In 2006, it was followed by a direct to video sequel, 'Here Comes Peter Cottontail: The Movie'. The name 'Peter Cottontail' is actually a combination of the names of two Beatrix Potter story characters, Cottontail and Peter Rabbit, from the story 'The Tale of Peter Rabbit'. It's a story of how Peter Cottontail became the Easter Bunny.

And it can still attract a crowd, like the one at the bridge's 125th birthday blowout Thursday night, May 22, 2008, which featured fireworks, a Navy flyover, a colorful new lighting scheme, a musical tribute to honor the storied span, and even a birthday cake in the shape of the bridge.

here is ME in a nutshell . . grew up in a small town in southwest Virginia . .went to the University of VA and got a degree in Psyc . . so, i decided to really use my degree and i managed restaurants for about 30 years: Charley's (not the chain . . Charley Sands, and ex-Pirates catcher opened up 3 in VA in Charlottesville, Roanoke and Richmond,Va . . i managed all three at one time or another. Also managed Applebees and Steak and Ale's throughout the south. Atlanta was favorite location and i lived there for 9 years. Ditched the restaurant business after my 'store' was robbed in Atlanta . .Moved back home to have back surgery (fusion) and met my sweet husband. We had gone to High School together and started talking again when i was walking 10 miles a day to get my back into shape. Taught school in my hometown for a few years (i went and got my Early Childhood Ed degree at GA STATE when i was in my late 30's . .pretty proud of that). Now, i work for my sister who is an attorney and at a national public opinion research firm part time . . gives me the time to look after my Mom who is in her 80's. . no kids, but love them and ALL animals, great and small. And, i adore my family . .WHEW
