NIGHT GALLERY THE CEMETERY Ending For those old enough to remember, Night Gallery was created and hosted by the great god of imagination Rod Serling, as a follow-up to The Twilight Zone. The opening was set in a shadowy museum, where Serling unveiled a dark and disturbing collection of canvases as preface to a highly diverse anthology of tales in the fantasy, horror, and supernatural vein. The first story from the 1969 pilot of Night Gallery, entitled The Cemetery. A black sheep nephew (McDowell, naturally) murders his ailing uncle (George McReady) for the inheritance, only to find some disturbing changes in the old man's painting of the family graveyard. Some good acting as well from Ossie Davis. The night I first watched this I was all alone, mom was working late, dad was sleeping, and I was on the floor in front of the tv having the living daylights scared out of me. I just loved it!!

Our Last Moments with Clarabell On September 24, 1960, during the final showing of Howdy Doody, Clarabell, the clown who never uttered a word in all the years we had watched him, finally spoke to us, "Goodbye Kids". Children everywhere were elated and heartbroken at the same time. We miss Clarabell, but we especially miss the man behind the face of the clown, the man with the biggest heart of all, Bob Keeshan.

Some Age More Gracefully Ursula at 70 Former Bond girl Ursula Andress has signed to be the new face of Dior Beauty cosmetics. The 70-year-old actress, who shot to fame rising from the sea in a white bikini in 1962 Bond flick DR NO, celebrated the deal by throwing a lavish party at her Beverly Hills, California home.

1971 McDonalds commercial Probably the best commercial McDonald's ever had. If you're over 40, you'll recognize the tune and a few faces. Times sure have changed. Where are the pimply faced teenage employees?

Another Bewitched Pic For The Kiddies i like this one a lot . . it sums up all the episodes . . just look at the angelic expression on Endora's face; "Dumm-Dumm's" annoyance; and Sam's look of "what?" "I don't see anything"! I JUST LOVED THIS SHOW!!!!

Howard Cosell picks Foreman to beat Ali Like most boxing fans, Howard Cosell figured 32-year-old Muhammad Ali had no chance to regain the world heavyweight title whe he stepped into the ring to face 25-year-old George Foreman in Zaire in 1974. (Ali won by an eighth-round knockout.) In 1964 Cosell picked Sonny Liston to beat Ali (then Cassius Clay) in one round. Clay won the title that night when Liston failed to come out for the seventh round.
