Braveheart 1995 Putting politics and any media circuses aside, this was a great film from the 90's, based on the legend of William Wallace, who gained recognition when he came to the forefront of the First War of Scottish Independence by opposing Edward I of England and subsequently abetted by Edward's daughter-in-law Princess Isabelle and a claiment to the Scottish throne, Robert the Bruce.

James Bonds Ms Moneypenny Lois Maxwell, who became so well-known for her performances as Ms Moneypenny in the James Bond films, has died. The Canadian-born actress starred alongside Sean Connery in the first James Bond movie, "Dr. No," in 1962 as the secretary to M, the head of the secret service.- but there's much more to her acting career than that. She started out against her parents will - and without their knowledge in a Canadian childrens radio program - credited as 'Robin Wells'. Before the age of 15 she left for England with The Canadian Army's Entertainment Corps and managed (after her age had been discovered) to get herself enrolled in The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, where she met and became friends with Roger Moore. Her movie career started with a Warner production A Matter of Life and Death (1946). After having won The Most Promising Newcomer Golden Globe Award in 1947 she went on to participate in 6 Hollywood productions before she decided to try her luck in Italy. She had to leave for England because of her husband's illness, and since then she has had roles in a number of movies besides the first 14 Bond movies. In 1989 she retired. She died Saturday night at Fremantle Hospital near her home in Perth, Australia. Bond star, Roger Moore said she was suffering from cancer. She was 80.

I Remember Elie Weisel Dedicated to another famous Holocaust survivor, Nazi hunter and Nobel Peace Prize winner. Elie Wiesel was born at Sighet, Maramures county, Romania On September 30, 1928. He is the author of over 40 books, the best known of which is Night, a memoir that describes his experiences during the Holocaust and his imprisonment in several concentration camps. Wiesel was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1986. The Norwegian Nobel Committee called him a "messenger to mankind," noting that through his struggle to come to terms with "his own personal experience of total humiliation and of the utter contempt for humanity shown in Hitler's death camps," as well as his "practical work in the cause of peace," Wiesel has delivered a powerful message "of peace, atonement and human dignity" to humanity. On November 30, 2006 Wiesel received an honorary knighthood in London, England in recognition of his work toward raising Holocaust education in the United Kingdom. Music "Hatikvah", (Israeli National Anthem) performed by Barbra Streisand. I'm thankful to be able to share this with you.

Remembering the Beautiful World in Which We Live We all enjoy bringing back memories of the music, films, news, etc that were and still continue to be a part of our lives, but how many times do any of us stop and remember the world we live in, the natural beauty that surrounds us. Every area on the globe has it's own natural beauty, and I think it would be great if we could all share in each other's hometowns, or even the special places we have enjoyed visiting. Remember, the most precious part of our lives, and our children's lives is the earth beneath our feet. There's a certain part of the US that I have always wanted to visit, New England. So here's a tribute to the beauty and historic legacy of New England; Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Rhode Island.

Winston Churchill Fight Them On The Beaches Speech In June 1940 German forces occupied virtually all of western Europe. France and Belgium were on the verge of total collapse. The British Expeditionary Force had been evacuated from the beaches of Dunkirk to fight another day. England stood alone against mighty Nazi Germany. Winston Churchill, who had been British prime minister for just a month, broadcast this famous, defiant oration. Listen as one of the great figures of the 20th century delivers probably his most famous speech of the Second World War era. Churchill's 'fight them on the beaches' speech sets the tone of the war for the entire British Empire.
