Bob Seger's hit from 1978, was great by itself, but most of us remember hearing it while we watched the scene of Tom Cruise sliding across the floor in his Fruit of the Looms from Risky Business. Fortunately, this clip still contains some good footage of Seger and his Silver Bullet Band.

IMO, one season of this series was worth more than all of Tom Cruise's later films put together. Each episode of 'Mission: Impossible', which ran from 1966-1973, featured a unique opening. Clips from the upcoming show were edited together in the fast-paced style of Lalo Schrifrin's brilliant theme song and played before the opening credits. The episodes featured here are from the second and third seasons.
You'll find some interesting MI trivia in the Comments Section...

The band formed in 1973 in the San Francisco, California area and had a series of hit singles between 1977 and 1981. Their first hit was "Whatcha Gonna Do?" in 1977. This was followed by other chart hits, "Love Will Find a Way", "Don't Want to Live Without It" (both 1978), and "Cool Love" in 1981.[1]

Early on the morning of July 24, 1915, the lake passenger steamer Eastland cast off from the Chicago River dock at the Clark Street Bridge with On board 2,572, all Western Electric Company employees and their families.
What was to have been a pleasant Lake Michigan cruise and picnic quickly turned into Chicago's worst single disaster. As she pulled away from the dock, the Eastland. slowly rolled over on her side and settled on the mud of the river bottom.
Of the 2,572 persons on board, 844+ lost their lives
For the 1,728 who did survive, their lives would be changed forever
This is dedicated to the 1915 Western Electric Family - the 844 who perished and those who survived - to the firefighters, police, and Chicago citizens who rushed to their aid.
your bravery will be remembered!
