Its a Mad Mad Mad Mad World 1963 This title sequence and a few select scenes should bring back great memories of this film. It was an instant success and made a fortune at the boxoffice. One of the few films of that time actually made with no sex or profanity, the cast included Spencer Tracy, Jonathan Winters, Mickey Rooney, Buddy Hackett, Sid Ceasar, Dick Shawn,Ethel Merman, Milton Berle, Terry Thomas, and many more top comedians of our generation.

We Will Miss You Brett Somers WESTPORT, Conn. (AP) Actress and comedian Brett Somers, who amused game show fans with her quips on the "Match Game" in the 1970s, has died, her son said. She was 83. Somers died Saturday at her home in Westport of stomach and colon cancer, Adam Klugman said Monday. Hosted by Gene Rayburn, "Match Game" was the top game show during much of the 1970s. Contestants would try to match answers to nonsense questions with a panel of celebrities; much of the humor came from the racy quips and putdowns. Shows from the 1973-79 run, featuring regulars like Somers, Richard Dawson and Charles Nelson Reilly, are still seen on cable TV's GSN (formerly Game Show Network.) Somers married actor Jack Klugman, the future star of the television shows "Quincy" and "The Odd Couple," in 1953. The two separated in 1974, but never divorced.

Nancy Walker as Ida Morgenstern I've got her on my mind now because of Lava's trivia question. Nancy Walker was a natural comedianne, her role as Ida Morgenstern in the sitcom, Rhoda, was closer to real life than most people realized. She was devoted, loving, sarcastic, and never let you have the last word. Reminds me of someone very dear to me (i love you ma). Enjoy this short clip of Ida in all her glory..

Apples Way intro Does anyone besides me even remember this show? It was supposed to be a modern version of The Waltons (which was also created by Earl Hamner). I do remember that Apple's Way was the butt of some comedians' jokes for being way too unrealistically wholesome.

The Insanity of Marty Feldman One of my all time favorite British comedians. Marty Feldman puts out the cat, takes out the garbage and makes the cocoa. But what is he really doing? Many people think of him only as I-Gor in Mel Brooks' Young Frankenstein, but he accomplished so much more, including having his own tv show in the UK.

Oct 22nd Happy 69th Birthday Christopher Lloyd Chris is a three-time Emmy Award winner. Here's a funny scene where Jim Ignatowski (played by Chris) is trying to pass the written part of the driving test. This is just one of many great scenes with him in Taxi.
