Actor Charlie Sheen Dead At Age 46 Charlie Sheen the beloved actor of the hit TV show Two And A Half Men, embattled with alcohol, cocaine, prostitutes and adult film stars died Monday at the age of 46. To avoid a “media circus” his family had his body prepared for burial for later this week. YouRememberThat.com staffers acquired this cell phone photo from unidentified sources. In 2010, Sheen was the highest paid actor on television, earning US$1.8 million per episode of Two and a Half Men. Sheen's personal life has also made headlines, including reports about alcohol and drug abuse and marital problems as well as allegations of domestic violence. He was fired from his role on Two and a Half Men by CBS and Warner Bros. on March 7, 2011.. It is unknown if an autopsy has been performed for the cause of death; certainly after this report is made public an investigation into the cause his death will be launched. Sheen was born Carlos Irwin Estevez in New York City, the youngest son and third of four children of actor Martin Sheen and artist Janet Templeton Sheen has two older brothers, Emilio Estevez and Ramon Estevez, and a younger sister, Renée Estevez. Sheen has been married three times and has five children and it is unknown how many readers have read this article this point so far. On May 20, 1998, Sheen overdosed while using cocaine and was hospitalized. On March 7, 2011, CBS and Warner Bros. fired Sheen from Two and a Half Men. The official statement read: “After careful consideration, Warner Bros. Television has terminated Charlie Sheen's services on Two and a Half Men effective immediately.” If readers are still paying attention this, ths is an april fools joke. On February 28, 2011, during a national television interview in his home, Sheen publicly demanded a 50% raise for the show Two and a Half Men. On March 10, 2011, Sheen announced a nationwide tour, "My Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat is Not An Option", which is scheduled to begin in Detroit on April 2.

1932 NFL Championship Game One of the most important games in the history of the National Football League was the 1932 NFL Championship Game. It provided many firsts: Most significantly it was the NFL's first championship game--and it was the first NFL game to be played indoors. Prior to 1933 there was no official league championship game. The league title went to the team with the best record--which was often disputed because teams did not play anything resembling a balanced schedule. In 1932, both the Chicago Bears and Portsmouth (OH) Spartans had six wins and a loss. By rule, tie games were ignored in the standings. Portsmouth had four ties and the Bears had six! During the regular season, both games between the Bears and Spartans had ended in ties. With the NFL's blessings, the Bears and Spartans agreed to play a one-game tie-breaker at Chicago's Wrigley Field on December 18. However, a forecast of a blizzard and minus-40-degree temperatures prompted the game to be moved indoors to Chicago Stadium, an arena more suited for hockey than football. Dirt from a recent circus was spread on the arena's concrete floor to form somethin akin to a regular gridiron. The cozy confines forced some playing rules to be revised. Because there were only 80 yards between the goal lines, as soon as a team advanced the ball beyond midfield, it was moved back 20 yards! The goalposts were moved from the endline to the goal line (where they stayed until 1974). Also, because the field was ten yards narrower than usual, before every play from scrimmage the ball was placed between hashmarks ten yards from the sideline. Chicago won the game 9-0, all their points coming in the fourth quarter on a controversial forward-pass touchdown and a safety. (The touchdown play caused the NFL's passing rules to be modernized the following season.) Not long afterward the Spartans moved to Detroit and became the Lions. The game was a huge success and inspired the NFL to split itself into two divisions and hold an annual championship game between the divisional champs. That system determined the NFL champion each year until the Super Bowl era began in 1966.

Freaks Movie Trailer - 1932 This is a contemporary trailer created for the cult classic film Freaks long after its original 1932 release. This Tod Browning film is set in a circus sideshow and centers around the camaraderie of the "freaks"--and uses real carnival sideshow performers. The plot has two able-bodied members of the circus plotting to poison a midget to gain his inheritance. Originally planned for 94 minutes, it was cut to about an hour after very bad test screening results. (One woman claimed to have suffered a miscarriage from viewing the film.) It was a box office disaster in 1932--losing about $150,000. In the United Kingdom, Freaks was considered so shocking that it was banned for 30 years. The film was rediscovered by horror buffs in the 1960s. Shown at special midnight screenings, it developed an appreciative audience and has become a celebrated film.

Emmett Kelly on Whats My Line The most famous circus clown ever, Emmett Kelly, is a challenger on What's My Line in this episode from March 11, 1956. (Sadly, it was also panelist Fred Allen's last episode. He died of a heart attack six days later.)
