JFK and John Pringle at Round Hill Jamaica In the early 1950s, Jamaican businessman John Pringle bought 98 acres on a peninsula eight miles west of Montego Bay, then sold shares of the former pineapple plantation to his celebrity friends. The result was a luxurious resort named Round Hill that quickly became a favorite hideaway for movie stars of that era. . .John and Jackie Kennedy honeymooned at Round Hill.

MAGIC Anthony Hopkins 1978 A disturbed celebrity magician finds himself at the mercy of his murderous dummy, Fats. Seeking refuge from his new found fame, he heads to the isolated mountain retreat run by his high school love, Peggy (Ann-Margret), in hopes of starting a new life; but finds that Fats has no intentions of letting him off so easy. A scene from Magic, with Corky (Tony Hopkins) and his dummy, Fats (voice of Tony) This is just one example of the versatility of this man's talent. He is truly an amazing man. And has the most gorgeous blue eyes I've ever seen!

John Carpenter Wins a Million Dollars Remember when Who Wants To Be A Millionaire was a huge ratings hit (before the producers ruined it with all those inane celebrity editions)? Well, if you do, you'll remember this famous final question when contestant John Carpenter calmly used his telephone lifeline to inform his dad he was about to win the jackpot. How cool was that?

Shelley Fabares sings Johnny Angel on The Donna Reed Show Vibrant, increasingly lovely teen fave Shelley Fabares withstood the test of time by transitioning successfully into adult parts unlike many of her 1960s "teen queen" peers who faded quickly into the memory books. She was born Michele Marie Fabares on January 19, 1944, in sunny Santa Monica, California. As the niece of singer/comedienne Nanette Fabray, she was indoctrinated early into the show biz life. Teen-idol status came with her coming-of-age role as the ever-wholesome daughter Mary Stone on "The Donna Reed Show" (1958), a part she played for five seasons before embarking on a more grown-up film career. During the run of the classic sitcom, she and TV "brother" Paul Petersen grew so popular that they sprinted to adjoining pop singing celebrity, although both admitted that their vocal talents were limited. Shelley especially enjoyed a #1 Billboard hit with the breathy, sultry-edged "Johnny Angel." The character of Mary Stone was gently phased out of the show as her character "left for college."

Total Eclipse of the Heart What a cool song, even now it sounds just as good as when she first performed it. Bonnie Tyler was born Gaynor Hopkins on June 8, 1951 in Skewen in Wales. She is widely recognisable by her highly distinctive, husky voice. In 1977, Tyler underwent surgery to remove nodules on her vocal cords, resulting in her singing voice taking on a raspy quality. Her next hit single, a cover of "It's a Heartache" was taken from Tyler's second album. In spring of 1983 came the single "Total Eclipse of the Heart", written by Jim Steinman. The song was a worldwide smash and reached no.1 in no less than 18 countries including the UK, France, Australia, Japan, Germany, Canada, and the United States, where it remained at the top for 4 weeks. In September 2006, Tyler made her first appearance on U.S. television in many years, as she sang a duet of "Total Eclipse of the Heart" with actress and now singer Lucy Lawless on the Celebrity Duets.

When Plastic Surgery Goes Bad This is Jocelyn Wildenstein. She's become something of a celebrity since her plastic surgery, having been on The Tonight Show several years ago, and she is actually known internationally as the Cat Woman. She made herself look like this in order to get her husband back, by getting numerous silicone injections in the cheeks, lips, and in the chin, had her eyes lifted and pulled back, and a rhynoplasty, the results were to resemble a cat-like figure. The plan to look like this backfired when her husband began an affair with a Russian Model.

William Talman Anti-Smoking Ad Released in 1968, this was the first of the celebrity 'don't smoke' appeals. Bill Talman played the DA on 'Perry Mason' and was under very heavy medication at the time this was filmed, six weeks before his death. The ad didn't start running until after his death, so the effect was even more profound.
