Twister here's a little trivia for you! the original name was going to be "Pretzel," but they dropped that when a toy dog came out with the same name! They were also going to use dice, but put the big spinner in at the last moment . . also, Johnny Carson featured the game on the May 3, 1966 episode of the Tonight Show and one of the guests was Eva Gabor in a low cut dress!!

kd lang and the Honky Tonk Angels Video for the Honky Tonk Angels, featuring kd lang, Loretta Lyn, Kitty Wells and Brenda Lee, and produced by Owen Bradley for kd's album Shadowland. kd lang, who was born in Edmonton Alberta Canada, was first drawn to country music when she attended college. Soon, she became fascinated with the life and music of Patsy Cline and ultimately determined to pursue a career as a professional singer. Lang formed a Patsy Cline tribute band called the Reclines in 1983, and they recorded a debut album, Friday Dance Promenade. A follow-up album, A Truly Western Experience, was released in 1984 and received strong reviews which led to national attention in Canada. Singing at country and western venues in Canada, she made several recordings that earned a 1985 Canadian Juno Award for Most Promising Female Vocalist. Her career received a huge boost when Roy Orbison chose her to record a duet of his standard, "Crying". Instead of being overwhelmed by the power of Orbison's voice, the two blended their vocal ranges into a collaboration that won them the Grammy Award for Best Country Collaboration with Vocals. 1988 marked the release of Shadowland, an album of torch country produced by the legendary Owen Bradley.

Petticoat Junction TV Guide Cover This must be from 1968 or 1969: The cast of Petticoat Junction grace the cover of TV Guide. Note that June Lockhart is shown. Her character, Dr. Janet Craig, replaced Bea Benaderet's character, Kate Bradley, after Benaderet died in October 1968. Good rule of thumb: If the opening credits to Petticoat Junction come on and June Lockhart walks onto the porch of the Shady Rest, change the channel.

Petticoat Junction Ivory Soap Commercial Billie Jo and Betty Jo Bradley from Petticoat Junction promote the show's sponsor, Ivory Soap, in this commercial from the show's first season. (That's Jeannine Riley playing Billie Jo. She was the first of three actresses to play Billie Jo!)

Petticoat Junction Girls Late 1990s Steve wanted to know what the three Bradley girls from Petticoat Junction looked like today. Here's a photo of Meredith MacRae, Linda Henning and Lori Saunders. I'd date this photo around 1997. MacRae, the third actress to play Billie Jo Bradley, died of brain cancer in 2000. The first Billie Jo (Jeannine Riley) was axed from the show after she posed for Playboy. The second Billie Jo (Gunilla Hutton) was allegedly Nat King Cole's mistress. She was later a regular on Hee Haw. Lori Saunders was the second actress to portray Bobbie Jo. The first was Pat Woodell. I don't know why that cast change was made.
