Brenda Lee Still Rockin Around the Christmas Tree It was 1958 when Brenda Lee first recorded this song, and even though Decca released it in both 1958 and again in 1959, it didn't sell well until she became a popular star in 1960. That Christmas it hit #16 on the Billboard pop chart and turned into a perennial holiday favorite. It continued to sell well during the holiday season for the next 24 years, hitting #5 on the Xmas chart in 1984. I believe this clip is from the mid 90's, from one of her annual Christmas shows.

I Would Do Anything For Love but i won't do that . . and here's some Meat Loaf TRIVIA: This was Meat Loaf's comeback song. In 1977, his album BAT OUT OF HELL, produced the hits "TWO OUT OF THREE AIN'T BAD," "PARADISE BY THE DASHBOARD LIGHT," and "YOU TOOK THE WORDS RIGHT OUTTA MY MOUTH," all written by piano player Jim Steinman. After a falling out with Steinman and difficulty in his personal life, Meat Loaf released several unsuccessful albums before reuniting with Steinman for Bat Out of Hell II: Back Into Hell, which was considered a sequel to the 1977 album. This has a very similar sound to Meat Loaf's previous hits, and the bombastic, piano-driven style went over well with his old fans as well as a new generation of listeners, helping make this a massive hit...

Car 54 Where Are You What a great team they were! Did you know that: - For the black-and-white location shots, the patrol cars were painted red so as not to confuse the locals. - The large circular object on the dashboard between the two officers is an auxiliary fan, in the days before cars had air conditioning. - The show was filmed at the Biograph Studios in the Bronx. The studio was originally built in 1912 by the American Mutoscope & Biograph. The studio facilities were sold several times through the years, until it burned down in 1980.

WHAM O WHEELIE BAR TV COMMERCIAL 1966 I'm the wheelie king,And the claim that this is the only way to do a real wheelie is false! You must lean back much further to achieve the center of gravity,to the point of flipping backwards for the balance required to keep riding on.That's why the kid is standing on the seat leaning back in order to keep it up.I have tried these and they don't work for any long period.Wheras I could ride for miles!Wheelie 101 And also that's the little old lady from Pasadena that's on the Jan and Dean album cover.I'm told

Then and Now- Eddie Van Halen Edward Lodewijk "Eddie" Van Halen (born January 26, 1955), is a Dutch-American guitarist, keyboardist, songwriter and producer, most famous as the lead guitarist and co-founder of the hard rock band Van Halen. Many of us were saddened when Valerie Bertinelli married Eddie Van Halen on April 11, 1981.On July 9, 2002, they announced that they had been separated since October 2001. She filed for divorce on December 5, 2005 which was finalized on December 20, 2007. During the late 1990s Eddie Van Halen was treated twice for tongue and mouth cancer. During an interview with Howard Stern on September 8, 2006, Eddie claimed that holding a metal pick in his mouth 12-14 hours per day while immersed in the electromagnetic radiation of his music studio caused his tongue cancer. He said he continues to smoke because "cigarettes didn't cause the cancer", despite the fact that they could in fact contribute to the cancer's potential for resurgence.

DION AND THE BELMONTS Then and Now In 1957 the group formed when Dion DiMucci joined The Belmonts - Carlo Mastrangelo, Freddie Milano, and Angelo D'Aleo - in late 1957. In 1958 they recorded 'I Wonder Why', which made it to #22 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and Dion and The Belmonts appeared for the first time on Dick Clark's American Bandstand. This success won Dion and the Belmonts their first major tour in late 1958, with The Coasters, Buddy Holly and Bobby Darin. This was followed up by the 'Winter Dance Party' tour with Holly, Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper. On February 2, 1959, after playing at Clear Lake, Ohio, Dion decided that he couldn't afford the $36 cost of a flight to the next show. The plane crashed, Buddy Holly and the other stars were killed. Even after that time the hits kept coming for the group. In 2004, Dion gave a live performance at the Tropicana in Atlantic City with Dion (lead vocals, electric and acoustic guitars) Butch Barbella (keyboards, backing vocals), Louie Colleti (backing vocals), Jamie "King" Cotton (sax, percussion, backing vocals), Al Korosy (lead guitar), and Charlie Powers (drums, vocals.) Though this performance wasn't with the Belmonts, Dion sounded just like we remember him after 47 years! He's keeping R&R and Doo-Wop alive!

RAINY NIGHT IN GEORGIA Brook Benton In 1969, after several years without a major hit, Brook Benton signed to a new record label, Cotillion Records, a subsidiary of Atlantic Records. Brought to the attention of producer Jerry Wexler, Benton recorded this song. Taken from his come-back album, 'Brook Benton Today', the melancholy song became an instant hit. In the spring of 1970, it topped the Billboard Magazine Black Singles chart. It also reached #4 on the Pop Singles and #2 on the Adult Contemporary charts, respectively. It was also #498 on the List of Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. This performance was taped live in 1982.

The Pointer Sisters JUMP (OOps, I deleted by accident the first time!)This Pointer Sisters video of 'Jump' was released prior to the 1984 Summer Olympic games, and included footage of athletes competing in track and field events. The song was the second of four Billboard Hot 100 top 10 singles in a row for the sisters in 1984, and peaked at #3 in July. It also appeared on Billboard's Adult Contemporary chart and reached the Top 10 in the UK, peaking at #6. The song netted the group a Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal in 1985
