Born Julia Chalene Newmeyer we know her better as Catwoman in the Batman television series. She stared in 12 episodes. In the 1980s and early 1990s, Newmar appeared in several low-budget films. She also guest-starred on TV shows including The Love Boat, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, Hart to Hart, CHiPs and Fantasy Island. She was seen in George Michael's video clip Too Funky in 1992 as well as appearing as herself in a 1996 episode of Melrose Place. A legal altercation with her neighbor, Jim Belushi, ended amicably with an invitation to co-star with him on his sitcom According to Jim in an episode that poked fun at the feud. Not too bad for being 75 years old!

Belushi achieved national fame for his work on Saturday Night Live, which he joined as an original cast member in 1975. Belushi was also known for his drug usage, and it eventually cost him his life. On March 5, 1982 Belushi, age 33, was found at his room at Bungalow #3 of the Chateau Marmont on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, California. The cause of death was a speedball, an injection of cocaine and heroin. On the night of his death, he was accompanied by friends Robin Williams and Robert De Niro (at the height of their own drug exploits). . .

Today's entertainment critic, Gene Shalit hosts a segment of this 1981 interview where Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi talk about their Blues Brothers band, a new film release, "Neighbors," which was a very dark comedy for both. A movie about neighboring residents. Now, it is all smiles on television, but on the film set, that was totally different.
Many unorganized troubles with the film with shooting it. Like what? Like everything. Script rewrites. Behavior problems. Complaints about the storyline. A switch of the actors in their roles. It was turning out to be a unfunny mess. "Neighbors" was heavily edited aswell, just before being released in December of '81. The movie made money as it had a good advertising campaign from the film studio that produced it. March of 1982, a few months after this interview was conducted, the comedian passed.
