This is a cast photo from Diff'rent Strokes, a popular NBC sitcom that ran from 1978 through 1985. The show was about a Park Avenue millionaire widower who decides to adopt two black kids. (I'm sure that happens all the time!) The cst members were Todd Bridges as Willis, Conrad Bain as Mr. Drummond, Dana Plato as Kimberley, and Gary Coleman as Arnold. Today the show is cynically remembered for the legal and social troubles that befell its youthful stars. A Johnny Carson Carnac routine summed it up best: The answer is coffee, donuts, and a Diff'rent Strokes cast member. The question is name three things you find in the back seat of a police car!

This show that aired in the 70's was about scientists living on the moon and sent drifting through space after the moon was ripped out of Earth's orbit. Trivia Fact: The stars Martin Landau and Barbara Bain are the parents of Juliet Landau who played the Vampire Drucilla on Buffy the Vampire Slayer television show.

IMO, one season of this series was worth more than all of Tom Cruise's later films put together. Each episode of 'Mission: Impossible', which ran from 1966-1973, featured a unique opening. Clips from the upcoming show were edited together in the fast-paced style of Lalo Schrifrin's brilliant theme song and played before the opening credits. The episodes featured here are from the second and third seasons.

Here's something you've probably never seen before: the clip of Walter Cronkite announcing the death of former president Lyndon Baines Johnson on January 22, 1973. Cronkite, the consummate professional, gets the bulletin via telephone and seamlessly incorporates it into his live news broadcast.

Here is the way "Space: 1999" began in September of 1975. This original intro was taped on U-Matic (3/4") tape, then I got a Beta copy from it...doesn't look all that bad!! This shows the original opening and first few minutes of the pilot.
