Prisoner Cell Block H Prisoner Cell Block H is an Australian television soap opera . It was set in Wentworth Detention Centre, a women's prison. Because of its success in the United Kingdom, the series has become one of the most enduring in Australian television history. The series was produced by the Reg Grundy Organisation and ran on Network Ten for 692 episodes from 1979 to 1986. i myself used to laugh at the ever moving, wobbly cardboard walls.

AIR SUPPLY Live in Hawaii 1984 "Every Woman in the World" The duo of Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock met in May of 1975 while performing in the Australian production of the Andrew Lloyd Webber/Tim Rice musical, Jesus Christ Superstar. Their 1980 album, Lost in Love, contained three U.S. Top Five singles, including the title track, plus "Every Woman In The World" and "All Out of Love" (sample). The album sold two million copies in the U.S. The following year they released "The One That You Love" and the title song was released as a single and went number #1 on the Billboard Singles Chart. It also featured two other Top 10 hits, "Here I Am" and "Sweet Dreams". Their third album, in 1982, "Now & Forever", continued the group's popularity with the Top 10 hit, "Even The Nights Are Better" and two top 40 singles "Young Love" and "Two Less Lonely People In The World". However, Air Supply wasn't finished yet. In spite of the somewhat declining popularity of "Now & Forever" compared with previous releases, the next year would prove very big for the band. in 1983, they released their "Greatest Hits" album with a new single called "Making Love Out Of Nothing At All" written by Jim Steinman. The song was one of their biggest hits ever spending three weeks at number 2 and the album eventually sold 5 million copies. Air Supply released their first live video, Air Supply Live in Hawaii. In 1985, they had one semi-major Billboard hit with "Just as I Am" and a couple of very minor hits. Russell and Hitchcock recorded a 1987 Christmas album before taking a break from studio recordings. During this time, Russell Hitchcock released his self-titled in 1988 which was not a big seller. However, he did have the single "Swear To Your Heart" in 1990 from the movie soundtrack for "Arachnophobia" which received a lot of airplay.

James Bonds Ms Moneypenny Lois Maxwell, who became so well-known for her performances as Ms Moneypenny in the James Bond films, has died. The Canadian-born actress starred alongside Sean Connery in the first James Bond movie, "Dr. No," in 1962 as the secretary to M, the head of the secret service.- but there's much more to her acting career than that. She started out against her parents will - and without their knowledge in a Canadian childrens radio program - credited as 'Robin Wells'. Before the age of 15 she left for England with The Canadian Army's Entertainment Corps and managed (after her age had been discovered) to get herself enrolled in The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, where she met and became friends with Roger Moore. Her movie career started with a Warner production A Matter of Life and Death (1946). After having won The Most Promising Newcomer Golden Globe Award in 1947 she went on to participate in 6 Hollywood productions before she decided to try her luck in Italy. She had to leave for England because of her husband's illness, and since then she has had roles in a number of movies besides the first 14 Bond movies. In 1989 she retired. She died Saturday night at Fremantle Hospital near her home in Perth, Australia. Bond star, Roger Moore said she was suffering from cancer. She was 80.

Deborah Harry Today She looks great at 63! Deborah was born in Miami Fl in 1945 and was adopted when she was three months old by a family from Hawthorne, New Jersey, and attended Hawthorne High School, where she graduated in 1963. Prior to starting her singing career she moved to New York in the late 60's and worked as a secretary at the BBC Radio New York office for one year. Later, she was a waitress, a dancer in Union City, and a Playboy Bunny. She began her musical career with a folk rock group, the Wind in the Willows. Harry then joined a girl-group trio, The Stilettos, in the early 1970s. The Stilettos' backup band included her eventual boyfriend and Blondie guitarist, Chris Stein. Harry and Stein formed the band Blondie in the mid-1970s, naming it for the wolf whistle men who often yelled at Harry from passing cars. Blondie quickly became regulars at Max's Kansas City and CBGB's in New York City. After a debut album in 1976, commercial success followed in the late 1970s and early 1980s, first in Australia and Europe, then in the United States.

Total Eclipse of the Heart What a cool song, even now it sounds just as good as when she first performed it. Bonnie Tyler was born Gaynor Hopkins on June 8, 1951 in Skewen in Wales. She is widely recognisable by her highly distinctive, husky voice. In 1977, Tyler underwent surgery to remove nodules on her vocal cords, resulting in her singing voice taking on a raspy quality. Her next hit single, a cover of "It's a Heartache" was taken from Tyler's second album. In spring of 1983 came the single "Total Eclipse of the Heart", written by Jim Steinman. The song was a worldwide smash and reached no.1 in no less than 18 countries including the UK, France, Australia, Japan, Germany, Canada, and the United States, where it remained at the top for 4 weeks. In September 2006, Tyler made her first appearance on U.S. television in many years, as she sang a duet of "Total Eclipse of the Heart" with actress and now singer Lucy Lawless on the Celebrity Duets.

Air Supply The One That You Love Air Supply is the duo of soft rock musicians, English guitarist and vocalist Graham Russell, and Australian lead vocalist Russell Hitchcock, who had a succession of hits worldwide through the late 1970s and early 1980s. In 1981 Air Supply released The One That You Love and it went number #1 on the Billboard Singles Chart. They are the most commercially successful Australian group to the present time. They've still got such a great sound, I could listen to them sing all night!

Michael Jackson Ben This was Michael's appearance on the Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour. Ben was the theme of a 1972 film of the same name, and the sequel to the 1971 killer rat movie Willard, that starred Crispin Glover. It spent one week at the top of the U.S. charts. It also reached #1 in Australia, spending eight weeks at the top spot. Later it reached a peak of #7 in the United Kingdom. It became the first of thirteen #1 pop hits for Michael in the U.S. and his first #1 hit as a solo artist. Later on it was included on his album of the same name, "Ben", won a Golden Globe for Best Song, and was also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song. I've always loved listening to this, the music is beautiful. Michael at 13 was such a nice looking young man who had such an amazing talent, he should have left well enough alone.
