Cam Ranh Bay Vietnam Bob Hope Christmas Show 1968 Bob Hope began entertaining troops in May of 1941, when Bob, with a group of performers, went to March Field, California, to do a radio show for airmen stationed there. He would continue that tradition through peacetime and wartime for another 60 years. On December 22, 1968, Bob's "Operation Holly" performed at Cam Ranh Bay, Vietnam. This video records that event. The original film was silent, so the audio from his performance at Long Binh Army Depot that same Christmas has been dubbed onto the video.

December 1963 Oh What a Night Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons in 1975. At the time this song was recorded, the group had gone through many changes and Valli was the only member remaining from the four that had recorded all those hits during the 1960s. The song itself was actually co-written by another member from those successful years in the 60s, Bob Gaudio, who left the group in 1972 as a performer but continued to help write and produce for them. Their new drummer, Gerri Polci sang the lead on this song, while Valli's solo only consisted of the lyric "Oh I, I got a funny feelin' when she walked in the room, Yeah my, as I recall it ended much too soon." Around this time, however, Valli did have a successful solo career with the songs "My Eyes Adored You", "Swearin' To God" and "Grease".

NASCAR Bootlegging to Hero- The Early Years View a small glimpse of the early years in racing scene. Now known as National Association of Stock Car Automobile Racing, it was at first, a way of 'Earning a Living' running from the law in an effort to deliver "Bootleg" whiskey to those thirsty Souls that needed the Extra Boost that no "Store Bought" liquor could offer. Eventually evolving into the Most Loved Sport in America, and supported by more than 100 Million Fans, NASCAR is now and will always be the "Sport of the Common Man"! Audio from actual interviews from the Allison and Yarborough "Altercation", and the 'King', Richard Petty. Music by Kenny Loggins as he sings his Hit, from the movie 'Top Gun', "Highway to the Danger Zone"!

Featured Member - Ray- Original YouTube Introductory Video March 2007 To introduce myself to this site...let me start with my original Introductory Video, produced for YouTube, from March of 2007. This pretty much describes me and my involvement in home video. But collecting videos is only one of my facets...I have been collecting pop songs on audiotape since the 1960s (I have a reel-to-reel collection that is in essence a history of Cleveland radio during the 1960s), I have a newspaper collection that I'm trying to sell, and have about 750 45's that I'm still trying to figure out what to do with! I also learned how to become somewhat computer-savvy....I have published two websites (one devoted to my precious Betamax video format, it's at betainfoguide.net, the other devoted to one of the most popular Top 40 AM stations ever to hit Cleveland, WIXY-1260 - that site is at www.wixy1260.com). I am originally from Cleveland but lived in Las Vegas for 4 1/2 wonderful years in the mid-90s, and hope to get back there someday....permanently. Most of my working life has been spent in retail, mainly the restaurant business, although now I'm working at New York Frozen Foods baking bread! I love to meet people with common interests, which is why I'm here; plus I have 7 active channels on YouTube! I married a wonderful Japanese lady in 1980 and we'll soon be celebrating 30 years of married bliss! Take care, and let me hear from you!

The Mickey Mouse Club Original intro in Color 1955 From 1955 or so, here is the LONG intro to the original Mickey Mouse Club, in living COLOR!! To my knowledge, this was never actually broadcast, but is now part of a Disney DVD box set. (For some reason, the audio is only in the left channel.)
