To me bruce lee`s best film is Enter the Dragon (1973)He became a hero of millions.He was a martial artist, instructor, and martial arts actor.on 21st of July 1973 bruce was found dead aged 32.doctors verdict was Death by Misadventure.it is still a mystery to this day how he died.

The Byrds, Alice Cooper, Buffalo Springfield and Love were regulars, and The Doors were the house band for a while . . .

Perhaps some of you may remember "Willie and Joe." The two World War II infantry grunts created by Bill Mauldin. His famous infantrymen cartoons were featured in "Stars and Stripes," the American soldier's newspaper. The cartoons would depict life as the average American soldier
would live it during wartime. Some were comical,
others brought home the ugliness and tragedies of war. He didn't get along very well with most officers because would poke fun at them in his cartoons. This would irritate the younger officers and some older ones alike. Gen. George Patton
wanted him to stop drawing his cartoons but apparently the morale of the American soldier and the popularity of the cartoons and the good effect that "Willie and Joe" had on it won out even over
the General's wishes. These two cartoons came from the first collection of his work compiled in a book alled, "Up Front," which was a best-seller.
At age 23 he won the Pulitzer Prize. That was in 1945. He was assigned to the 45th infantry division, and was wounded by a shell fragment in Anzio for which he receive the Purple Heart. He also made the cover of Time Magazine in 1958.
Bill passed away in 2003 at the age of 81. Bill Mauldin was a great American!

Often cited as one of the great comedies of its time, the film version won critical acclaim and became the biggest US box office hit in the summer of 1955. It contains one of the most iconic images of the 20th Century in which Marilyn Monroe's dress is blown up above her waist by a passing train underneath a subway grate she is standing on. A famous quote, "Isn't it delicious?" has originated from this scene and was even posed as a question on the game show WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE? and a bit more TRIVIA ~ both Jimmy Stewart and Walter Matthau were considered for the part of the middle-aged husband, tempted by his sexy, blonde neighbor . . . . . .

Linda Richman's (Mike Myers) hero was Barbra Streisand. She constantly "dedicated" the show to her, often claiming her to be the greatest actress in all of history. In what could be considered to be the sketch's most memorable moment, Myers was joined by two special guests Madonna and Roseanne Barr as two other Jewish women (and they were authentic, take my word!). They discussed Streisand's movie, The Prince of Tides, on the show. Near the end of the sketch, the women compared Barbra to "buttah"-and suddenly, a voice announced, "All this talk about food, I'm getting hungry, girls." It was Streisand herself in a surprise appearance; none of the actors had any idea that she was to appear. All three managed to remain in character as the audience went wild. Though Streisand only stayed long enough to give each character a kiss and wave to the audience, the moment has become one of the most memorable in the show's history.

When the Beatles announced their break up in the winter of 1970, CCR became the most successful band and the biggest singles act in the world, despite never landing a #1 single. Always very private, the group never became stars personally to befit their status on the pop charts. They sought to change that with the release of Pendulum. Before the album's release, they had a fan type book written. Called "Inside Creedence", the book took about six weeks from the time it was conceived until it was actually published, coincidental with the release of Pendulum. In fact, many copies of the book were sold packaged with the record. The band also made a television special and had a $30,000 press junket to ballyhoo the album. The record shipped a million copies. Lois Maxwell, who became so well-known for her performances as Ms Moneypenny in the James Bond films, has died. The Canadian-born actress starred alongside Sean Connery in the first James Bond movie, "Dr. No," in 1962 as the secretary to M, the head of the secret service.- but there's much more to her acting career than that. She started out against her parents will - and without their knowledge in a Canadian childrens radio program - credited as 'Robin Wells'. Before the age of 15 she left for England with The Canadian Army's Entertainment Corps and managed (after her age had been discovered) to get herself enrolled in The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, where she met and became friends with Roger Moore. Her movie career started with a Warner production A Matter of Life and Death (1946). After having won The Most Promising Newcomer Golden Globe Award in 1947 she went on to participate in 6 Hollywood productions before she decided to try her luck in Italy. She had to leave for England because of her husband's illness, and since then she has had roles in a number of movies besides the first 14 Bond movies. In 1989 she retired.
She died Saturday night at Fremantle Hospital near her home in Perth, Australia. Bond star, Roger Moore said she was suffering from cancer. She was 80.

Jackie Wilson first started his career in music in his native Detroit. He joined Billy Ward & the Dominoes in 1953, replacing Clyde McPhatter. After losing McPhatter, the group's only major recording success with Wilson came in June of 1956 with the single "St. Therese of The Roses" that reached number 13 on the Pop charts. His solo career began with 1957's "Reet Petite," written by the then-unknown Berry Gordy, Jr. He had his first top 40 hit in 1958 with "To Be Loved." At the end of that year he had his first big success with "Lonely Teardrops" that went to #7 on the charts. The song, also written by Gordy, became his signature tune. That same year saw Wilson release his first LP titled She's So Fine.
Wilson's brand of soul and R&B helped him cross over to the mainstream, having several pop hits. His dynamic stage performances earned him the nickname "Mr. Excitement." In another of his performances on Ed Sullivan's show, he sang "Lonely Teardrops" which was considered one of the show's classics. In the 1960s, Wilson continued to record singles, many of them operatic, such as "Danny Boy" or "Night," others were up-tempo and exciting, such as "Baby Workout" in 1963.
His career began to suffer in the mid-60s, though he managed a brief revival by collaborating with Carl Davis, a legendary Chicago producer. This resulted in two hits, "Whispers (Gettin' Louder)" and "(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher and Higher". The revival was short-lived, though, and Wilson rarely charted in the 1970s. He suffered a massive heart attack while playing a Dick Clark show at the Latin Casino in Cherry Hill, New Jersey on September 29, 1975, falling head-first to the stage; he was singing "Lonely Teardrops". The blow to his head left him comatose. For the next eight years and four months he was in a vegetative state until his death at age 49.
