Car 54 Where Are You What a great team they were! Did you know that: - For the black-and-white location shots, the patrol cars were painted red so as not to confuse the locals. - The large circular object on the dashboard between the two officers is an auxiliary fan, in the days before cars had air conditioning. - The show was filmed at the Biograph Studios in the Bronx. The studio was originally built in 1912 by the American Mutoscope & Biograph. The studio facilities were sold several times through the years, until it burned down in 1980.

First Crossword Puzzle 1913 Arthur Wynne started a sensation on December 21, 1913. His creation, the first-ever crossword puzzle, appeared as a 'mental exercise' in the Fun section of the New York World. The numbering system is a little different than what you'd see in today's puzzles. Clues listed both starting and ending numbers. Within a decade, crossword puzzles were a newspaper staple throughout most of the English-speaking world. I'll post the clues for this historic puzzle if anyone requests them.
