Sony TC-755 Reel to Reel Tape Deck A wonderful mmachine that was one of the first to introduce electronic switching to replace the older, manually operated levers. Still working great!

1950s Lone Ranger TV Show COLOR open and close Here is a rare TV show indeed - the 1950s Lone Ranger, in color!! Here are the open and close, plus the great voice of Fred Foy announcing. I actually got this from a St. Louis TV station in 1979 or so, and still have this entire episode on tape! Lousy color, but hey...this is OVER 50 YEARS OLD!!!

ROUTE 66 Route 66 ran from 1960 to 1964 on CBS, and starred George Maharis and Martin Milner. It was this series that made me fall in love with the Chevy Corvette. I'm still waiting for mine, but I haven't given up yet.

Roosevelt Hotel Extremely historic place for Hollywood buffs. Spanish Revival style. Opened in 1929 with owners including Louis B. Meyer, Douglas Fairbanks, and Mary Pickford. The first academy awards were held here in 1928 or 1929 (then called the "Merit Awards") in the "Blossom Room". The set for the TV show "This is Your Life" was located here. The Cinegrill was a famous 1940s nightclub still existing inside. Marilyn Monroe used to stay here and her ghost is said to still haunt the halls (hey - it helps business). Reasonable rates, but rooms facing Hollywood Blvd may be a bit noisier. You can see the hotel in the films Beverly Hills Cop II and Charlie's Angels 2.

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS 1956 New Trailer During the 50's, there were so many biblical blockbusters produced, even though if you check in the bible, you'll discover that the facts have been changed for entertainment value. Still, Chuck made a great Moses, and no one can wear the costume of an Eqyptian pharoah like Yul. My first idol at the age of 10 was Chuck Heston. I sent him a letter and receivedd back, not only a note, but four autographed stills as well. Today this wouldn't happen.

ELVIS VS THE BEATLES 60s Mag From one who loved the Beatles in 1964, there is still no contest when it comes to who's the best. Elvis was and always will be the King of Rock and Roll.

Truth Justice and the American Way My favorite show as a kid. I can still recite the opening theme from memory. I used to tie red towels around my neck and leap from my bed.
