Remember the brady's dog? Whatever happened to him?------------The dog that played Tiger was hit by a car and killed early in the first season (although Tiger's death was not referred to in any episode). When a replacement dog proved problematic, the producers decided the dog would only appear when essential to the plot. Tiger appeared in about half the episodes in the first season and about half a dozen episodes in the second season. His last appearance was in "What Goes Up," which aired in 1971. Eventually, the dog was phased out altogether. He disappeared completely after the third season and was not mentioned again, not even when the show ended.

Another great big Deluxe Reading Toy from the 60's sold atop grocery store shelves. You could actually put talcum powder into the tank barrel to simulate smoke. I had one of these babies as a kid!

It's 1955, you and your family are all seated around your brand new twelve inch color TV. Mom made snacks, which are sitting on top of TV trays, (all the rage). This is a momentous occasion. Tonight, you will witness a magical event, a live broadcast of Peter Pan, straight from Broadway. It has music, adventure and best of all it's in color thanks to the NBC peacock. The production also starred Cyril Ritchard as Hook, and Sondra Lee as Tiger Lily with Lynn Fontanne.

Probably my favorite sports story is the day a midget, Eddie Gaedel, batted in a major league game. The date was August 19, 1951. The lacklustre St. Louis Browns were hosting the Detroit Tigers in a Sunday doubleheader. Browns' owner Bill Veeck promised that anyone who bought a ticket would see a memorable sight. He was right. Gaedel, all 3'7" of him, took part in a brewery promotion between games. Gaedel, clad it a batboy's uniform bearing the number 1/8 and carrying a toy bat, made baseball history in the first inning of the second game when he batted for outfielder Frank Saucier. Jim Cain, the Detroit pitcher, nearly doubled over in laughter at the sight of Gaedel and walked him on four pitches--all of them high. Once Gaedel trotted down to first base he was replaced by pinch runner Jim Delsing. Gaedel's picture appeared in virtually every newspaper in North America the next day. That same day American League president Will Harridge banned midgets from baseball. Most of the players involved in the stunt relished their connection to it. Jim Delsing said, 'A lot of guys have hit 50 home runs in a season, but I'm the only guy who ever ran for a midget.'

....CATHERINE BACH, who played Daisy Duke in The Dukes of Hazzard from 1979 to 1985. Like many 1970s TV stars, Catherine found the movie offers, poster contracts, personal appearances and talk-show gigs slowly evaporating as her series faded from the public's memory. In the past several years, she has been involved in wildlife conservation and domestic violence issues. In 1994 she testified before Congress on behalf of the Rhinoceros and Tiger Conservation Act. Because of the feature film with Jessica Simpson playing the role of Daisy Duke, Bach has been asked to make more personal appearances.
