First Issue of Playboy Magazine The first issue, published in December 1953, did not carry a date, as Hefner was unsure whether there would be a second issue. It was produced in Hefner's Hyde Park kitchen. The first centerfold was Marilyn Monroe, although the picture used had originally been taken for a calendar, rather than for Playboy. The first issue was an immediate sensation; it sold out within a matter of weeks. The cover price was 50¢. Copies of the first issue in Mint to Near Mint condition sold for over $5,000 in 2002.

The Lone Ranger This is the opening theme to The Lone Ranger, which starred Clayton Moore and Jay Silverheels, and aired from 1949 to 1957. Originally, Tonto rode double with the Lone Ranger on Silver, but after a publicity photo was taken of the Lone Ranger and Tonto this way, the producers wisely decided to give Tonto his own steed.

Ideal Toys Astro Base 1960 Part 1 One of the coolest toys ever produced by Ideal! Every Junior Spaceman had to have one! This vid demonstrates the working functions of the main Astro Base Unit. This was totally taken apart by me and refurbished from junk Astro Bases that I've picked up. Look for Part Two which shows the Scout Car in action.

Ruth Etting This Photo of Ruth Etting was taken by Alfred Cheney Johnston, the official photographer of the Ziegfeld Follies and was taken in 1923. Ruth Etting (November 23, 1896 – September 24, 1978) was an American singing star of the 1930s, who had over sixty hit recordings . . . as well as a quite colorful life: In 1937 she fell in love with her pianist, Myrl Alderman, who was consequently shot by her husband, Moe Snyder — but survived. Snyder was jailed for the assault, and Etting divorced him on November 30, 1937. She married Alderman in December 1938, but the scandal effectively ended her career. . . today, she would just be MORE famous . .

THE BLUES BROTHERS Trailer The Blues Brothers was a 1980 musical comedy. It starred John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd as Joliet Jake and Elwood Blues, characters taken from a Saturday Night Live sketch. It featured musical numbers by R&B and soul legends James Brown, Cab Calloway, Aretha Franklin and Ray Charles, and had some great unforgettable car scenes.

Country Outlaw David Allen Coe A video montage to David Allen Coes's "You Never Even Called Me By My Name" by Graybeard1952.Country Outlaw David Allen finally gained gained national fame with this song. A hard drinking, drug using fighting redneck who penned some outrageous lyrics. Many Country D.J.'s refused to play his music. This is probably one of the most played songs in Karaoke Bars (at least in Phoenix-plenty of rednecks here!). I found some live perfomances, but sadly, time and too much booze and drugs have taken its toll, and his perfomances stunk, so I found this montage using his recorded version. This is a another song that will get the crowd hopping! Enjoy

THE SURVIVORS 1983 Robin Williams, Walter Matthau and Jerry Reed. A short clip taken from the beginning of one of the most hilarious films of the 80's, or any other decade for that matter. As the movie progresses it just gets better and better.
