Sergeant Bilko 1951 Parade Originally known as "You'll Never Get Rich" and then "The Phil Silvers Show," the granddaddy of all military sitcoms was broadcast from 1955 to 1959. Silvers starred as Master Sgt. Ernie Bilko, the con artist supreme who turns Fort Baxter into his personal base of operations for one get-rich-quick scheme after another. Harvey Lembeck, Joe E. Ross, and Maurice Gosfield as Pvt. Doberman were among the members of Bilko's platoon, and Paul Ford played the camp commander. . .

The Lone Ranger This is the opening theme to The Lone Ranger, which starred Clayton Moore and Jay Silverheels, and aired from 1949 to 1957. Originally, Tonto rode double with the Lone Ranger on Silver, but after a publicity photo was taken of the Lone Ranger and Tonto this way, the producers wisely decided to give Tonto his own steed.

Bob Seger Old Time Rock and Roll Bob Seger's hit from 1978, was great by itself, but most of us remember hearing it while we watched the scene of Tom Cruise sliding across the floor in his Fruit of the Looms from Risky Business. Fortunately, this clip still contains some good footage of Seger and his Silver Bullet Band.

Elizabeth Montgomery Bewitching Elizabeth Montgomery was the daughter of silver-screen actor Robert Montgomery, and got her start on his TV show ROBERT MONTGOMERY PRESENTS. After marrying second husband Gig Young in 1956, Montgomery shied away from films but made numerous appearances on popular TV shows. Upon their 1963 divorce, Montgomery returned to making films, but third husband William Asher cast her as "Samantha" on the 1964-72 ABC-TV series BEWITCHED. If you look fast, you can see her in a cameo role in the 1965 beach party flick HOW TO STUFF A WILD BIKINI, at the end of the film. After ending BEWITCHED, Asher and Montgomery divorced; she then went on to make many TV movies and married her sometime costar, Robert Foxworth. Sadly, Montgomery passed away at the age of 62 in 1995...this early glamour shot of "Sam" blows me away . . not the way i am used to seeing her!

Remembering Charlie Rich December 14th marks the birthday of Charlie Rich, one of the most talented, yet underrated musicians of our time. Here he is performing "The Most Beautiful Girl" on The Dean Martin show in the late 70's. At this time in his life his battle with emphysema was becoming evident in how exerted he was coming up the steps. He continued to sing and keep his concert dates, but by the 90's he had pretty much gone into retirement, only playing at his home studio or when an intervew took him away to another location. His last professional release was his most proud creation, his R&B album of Pictures and Paintings in 1992.

Vintage Muscle Man Nat Pendleton Nat Pendleton was nearly forty years old when he made this film in 1935. He is portraying the internationally famous Victorian "strong man" Eugen Sandow, a pioneer in physical education. A hundred years ago, photographs of the nearly-naked Sandow sold by the millions. It was a logical role for Pendleton, whose career relied on the roles of cop, officer, boxer, wrestler, driver, goon, gunman, gangster and oaf. He had played this same type role (named MacHardie) in the Marx Bros. film 'Horse Feathers' (1932). A native of Iowa, Pendleton graduated Columbia University in New York in 1916. In 1914 and 1915 he was Champion of the Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association in the 175 pound category. In the wrestling field he earned the Silver Medal for the U.S. in the 1920 Olympic games in Antwerp. Before entering a film career, he was a sports manager in New York. His manager in these scenes is William Powell, as Florenz Ziegfeld, Jr., and the fawning dowager is played by the prolific "stout" character actress Grace Hayle.

Silver Bullet Trailer 1985 The small city of Tarker's Mill is startled by extreme sadistic murders. The population fears that this is the work of a maniac. During a search a mysterious, hairy creature is observed. This strange appearance is noticed once a month. People lock themselves up at night, but there's one boy who's still outside.......and he's preparing the barbecue. I just LOVE Stephen King!!!
