i LOVED "DARK SHADOWS," i would come home from school watch some, go stand out on the porch because i was scared and then go in and watch some more!! LOL
This pic is from Episode One: Joan Bennett (Elizabeth), Louis Edmonds and Alexandra Moltke. . . if you're not a Dark Shadows fan, the story line was simple at first. It began with Victoria Winters, a woman with a mysterious past, traveling to Collinsport to work for the Collins family as the governess for 9-year-old David. David's father, Roger Collins, also lived at Collinwood, the family mansion, as did Roger's sister, Elizabeth Collins Stoddard and her daughter, Carolyn.
Movie actress Joan Bennett headed the cast as Elizabeth, and Louis Edmonds portrayed Roger. Nancy Barrett was Carolyn, Alexandra Moltke played Victoria, and David Henesy was David.

OK Lava, this one's for you. Anne Murray is a Canadian singer born in Springhill, Nova Scotia, known for her rich alto voice and her choice of songs appealing to listeners over a broad spectrum, including Pop, Country and Adult Contemporary styles. For many, her fame as the representative Canadian singer is rivaled only by Gordon Lightfoot. After the success of "Snowbird" in 1970, Anne had a number of subsequent singles that have charted both pop and country simultaneously. During 1970s and early 1980s, her hits included "Danny's Song" (1972), "He Thinks I Still Care" (1974), "You Needed Me" (1978), "I Just Fall In Love Again," "Shadows in the Moonlight" and "Broken Hearted Me" (all 1979), "Could I Have This Dance" (1980), "Blessed Are the Believers" (1981), and "A Little Good News" (1983). Her hits started to taper off into the mid '80s, and her last top 100 charting pop hit was "Now and Forever (You and Me)" from 1986, it also was her last #1 on the country charts.

DID WE REALLY LOOK LIKE THAT WHEN WE DANCED??
One of the longest lasting of the teen idols of the early 60's, Bobby Vee got his lucky break when he and and his band the Shadows filled in for the late Buddy Holly at a 1959 Mason City, Iowa, concert a few days after Holly was killed in a plane crash. His 1961 summer release Take Good Care of My Baby went to #1 on the Billboard U.S. He went on to record a string of international hits in the 1960s, including Devil or Angel, Rubber Ball (1961), More Than I Can Say (1961), Run To Him (1961), The Night Has a Thousand Eyes (1963), and Come Back When You Grow Up (1967). Bobby Vee currently performs at Dick Clark's American Bandstand Theater in Branson, Missouri. He performs in the "Original Stars of American Bandstand" show along with Fabian, Chris Montez, Brian Hyland, and the Chiffons. His sons Tommy and Jeff both perform in the show with him. When I look at him now I realize how very young he was at the time.

Cliff Richard, was Britain's answer to Elvis. He never made it big in the States; as was then the benchmark for any performer; So was resigned to European fame and stardom. Still going to this day, he keeps a semblance of his youthful looks and has earned the nickname, the Peter Pan Of Pop. With him on this video are a group of musicians called the Shadows the leader of which, is Hank Marvin. This group also went on to find fame with instrumental hits, Hank's guitar doing what you could call the vocals. This song was also used in the film of the same name in which he starred

from 1979
Sir Cliff Richard, OBE (born Harry Rodger Webb on 14 October 1940 is an English singer, actor and businessman.
With his backing band The Shadows, Richard dominated the British popular music scene in the late 1950s and early 1960s, before and during the The Beatles' first year in the charts. A conversion to Christianity and subsequent softening of his music led to his having more of a pop than rock image. He never achieved the same impact in the United States despite several chart singles there, but he has remained a popular music, film, and television personality in the UK and he retains a following in other countries.
During six decades, Cliff Richard has charted many singles, and holds the record (with Elvis Presley) as the only act to make the UK singles charts in all of its decades (1950s–2000s). According to his website, he has sold more than 250 million records. On the British charts, Richard has had more than 120 singles, albums and EPs make the top 20, more than any other artist.
