N E S T L E S Who doesn't love chocolate? Jimmy Nelson's Farfel the dog did a number of commercials for this product between 1955 and 1965. I loved the way this dog said Chaaawwwwwclate. And do you remeber the little snap his jaw made when he said it?

Price is Right With all the buzz about Bob Barker's retirement they said he was the only host for the show, this proves it false since Bill Cullen did it first.

Roosevelt Hotel Extremely historic place for Hollywood buffs. Spanish Revival style. Opened in 1929 with owners including Louis B. Meyer, Douglas Fairbanks, and Mary Pickford. The first academy awards were held here in 1928 or 1929 (then called the "Merit Awards") in the "Blossom Room". The set for the TV show "This is Your Life" was located here. The Cinegrill was a famous 1940s nightclub still existing inside. Marilyn Monroe used to stay here and her ghost is said to still haunt the halls (hey - it helps business). Reasonable rates, but rooms facing Hollywood Blvd may be a bit noisier. You can see the hotel in the films Beverly Hills Cop II and Charlie's Angels 2.

The Tonette Hey Baby Boomers! Remember tonette’s? Precursor of the recorder, which in itself. is a misnomer. (It doesn’t record anything.) I think I received mine in the 5th or 6th grade. We all had to buy our own and my parents bought me a fire engine red one. (My sister got a green one ‘cause she said it looked like a pickle.) I can remember playing ”Jolly Ol’ St. Nicholas” at a school Christmas concert one year. All the boys had to wear black pants, black shoes, white long-sleeved shirt and a black bowtie. (Older is better!)

The Honeymooners Man from Space 1950s Credits go to Awisefool. A classic Honeymooner's espisode where the Krandem's and the Norton's enter a costume contest and Norton gets called away on a sewer emergency right before they leave for the contest and arrives at the contest with seconds left in the judging wearing his sewer garb. Krandem thinks he has it in the bag and will win $50.00 with his Man from Space costume. You can guess the rest! I doubt you'll ever see something like The Honeymooner's again on TV due to the way Ralphy Boy treated poor Alice. This is my favorite epsisode and it is a Regular Riot! Comments like, Bang, Zoom, Pow, Right in the Kissah wouldn't cut it today, but as always, Ralph is always made to feel like a chump in the end and you'll usually hear him say, Baby, Yer da Greatest! Nuff' said, Hom-mi-na, Hom-mi-na!

NIGHT GALLERY THE ESCAPE ROUTE Ending The third and final story from the 1969 pilot of Night Gallery, entitled The Escape Route, starred Richard Kiley, and centered around an escaped Nazi war criminal living in South America and haunted by his past. He begins to visit a museum where he is drawn to a painting of a fisherman on a lake. It's such a peaceful setting, that he becomes obsessed with it and soon begins to see himself as the figure in the boat. He is soon recognized by a survivor of the camps, played by Sam Jaffe. When Israeli agents are about to catch up to him, he flees into the museum, and to the painting, there he begs God to take him into the painting. What he doesn't realize is, the painting has been moved and in it's place is one portraying the brutality of the holocaust. I think with all three stories, Rod was showing us that after all is said and done, there is justice.
