Frenchies Bar and Grill As the 1930s came to a close, Kodak came out with Kodachrome film - the first commercially viable color film available to the general public. In 1937 and 1938, the colors were still not stable and accurate, but by 1939 Kodachrome was producing color images of remarkable precision. Not just anybody could buy this film. It cost $5 per roll and had to be sent back to Rochester , New York for development. By comparison, in 1938 Congress established the first minimum wage at 25 cents per hour. $5 represented half a week's work. But the Farm Security Administration sent out about a dozen photographers with this new film.

Gary Glitter Rock n Roll Part 2 "Rock and Roll", also known as "The Hey Song," is a song performed by British glam rocker Gary Glitter that was released in 1972 as a single and on the album Glitter. Co-written by Glitter and Mike Leander, the song is in two parts: Part 1 is a vocal track reflecting on the history of the genre, and Part 2 is a mostly instrumental piece. Both parts were popular in Britain, and the single went to #2 on the British charts. In concert, Glitter merges both into one performance.

America Comes of Age The Korean War America Comes of Age - The Korean War Like Lambs to the Slaughter US defense spending had reached a modern day low. The military was ill-prepared and ill-equipped, those in authority embraced questionable doctrines. From a post World War II soft life in Japan, with servants to wash their clothes and shine their boots, these American youth were suddenly uprooted and flung into harm's way. There was no "Remember Pearl Harbor." The North Korean People's Army was on a roll. The North Korean People's Army had invaded the Republic of Korea in South Korea only 11 days earlier and overwhelmed the ill-equipped Republic of Korea armed forces. The North Korean People's Army steamrolled into Seoul, driving refugees and regrouping Republic of Korea Army units before it, clogging roads and throwing the countryside into a panic. The invasion caught General Douglas MacArthur and his Far East Command and Eighth Army by surprise, despite recent intelligence reports that North Korea was planning for an attack on the Republic of Korea. General MacArthur had disregarded the reports, saying he did not believe war with North Korea was imminent. The events that unfolded on the Korean peninsula some 45 years ago offer a telling reminder of what happens when a force goes to war unprepared. Disaster lurks around every bend. Facing a force of 130,000 NKP soldiers, 3,000 Soviet advisors, a full array of heavy weapons, aircraft and the formidable T-34/85, arguably the best tank to come out of World War II. American GIs fought bravely at times. At other times when confronted with overwhelming, numerically superior forces, they "bugged-out" to the rear, cursing their government for sending them to this stinking, God-forsaken place where human feces were used to fertilize the land. Far Away From Home Since 1942, Armed Forces Radio and later, Television Service (AFRTS) has been providing information, education, and most importantly, entertainment to U.S. military forces everywhere. From broadcasts to the troops serving around the world in WWII, from Soul during the Korean War, Saigon throughout the Vietnam War, to stations in Europe and Iraq today. Since 1942, through today, wherever American men and women serve, a bit of the "hometown" travels with them. Thanks to Armed Forces Radio and later the Armed Forces Network the entertainment that they held so dear is never really far away. Then and Now- Erin Murphy- Tabitha on Bewitched The topless photo of Erin Murphy on the internet isnít what you think. Erin began her career while still in diapers. Discovered by an agent, as her mother pushed her stroller in Los Angeles, Erin got her first job, playing a boy in a commercial for Folgers Coffee, at eleven months. Her next job was a detergent commercial with future President Ronald Reagan. Right before her second birthday, ABC came calling, and Erin was cast as little witch Tabitha Stephens on the top ten sitcom, Bewitched. Millions of fans around the world tuned in to see if Tabitha had inherited magical powers from her mother Samantha. They delighted in Erinís antics as she turned bullies into bulldogs and bullfrogs, played piano like a maestro and skated like Dorothy Hamill. After eight seasons, 23 Emmy nominations, and 254 episodes, Bewitched gracefully ended without cancellation. Despite the fact that Bewitched was filmed in the 60ís and 70ís, the popularity of the show endures. Entertainment Weekly recently named Bewitched one of the ď100 Greatest TV Shows of All TimeĒ and for the 50th Anniversary of TV Guide. Immediately following Bewitched, Erin turned down a part on The Waltons to go to Girl Scout camp, but she didnít lose her love for the business. During her teens, Erin modeled and did numerous commercials. Today, she is 44 and has worked as a casting director, a makeup artist, a fashion stylist, an acting teacher, a motivational speaker. With her engaging personality, sense of humor and ability to appeal to audiences as diverse as Nickelodeon and Howard Stern, Erin is a popular celebrity host. Sheís been featured on numerous programs, look for her on as the host of the Ab Shark infomercial for Thane & the Bun Shaper infomercial for Emson!
