Flashbacks of Rob and Laura Petrie The Dick Van Dyke show, one of our all time favorite sitcoms, with Mary Tyler Moore, Ann Marie, Morey Amsterdam, Richard Deacon and Carl Reiner. Wish they were still on the air.

2000 Year Old Man The 2000 Year Old Man was a creation of Mel Brooks and Carl Reiner starting around 1961. Brooks played the oldest man in the world, interviewed by Reiner in a series of comedy routines that appeared on television as well as being made into a collection of records. Brooks would ad lib answers to topics such as the earliest known language ("basic Rock"), the creation of the Cross ("it was easier to put together than the Star of David"), and Joan of Arc ("Know her? I went with her!"). The inspiration for the skit was a tape-recorded exchange between Brooks and Reiner at a party. The tape recorder was brought in and the two of them had the party audience in stitches.

The Bucket List Do you have one This looks like a real good movie. It does ask a good question, what do you want to do before you kick the bucket?

10000 Dollar Pyramid One of my favorite game shows was Dick Clark's Pyramid. Over the years the prize money gradually increased. This is the start of a very early episode from 1973 when the big prize was a mere $10,000. The celebrities are June Lockhart and Rob (Meathead) Reiner.

Sid Caesar passes at age 91 Veteran comedian Sid Caesar, star of the 1950s television classic "Your Show of Shows," died on Wednesday at age 91 at his home in Los Angeles, according to his friend and former collaborator, Carl Reiner. Reiner said he learned of Caesar's death from a mutual friend, actor and writer Rudy De Luca, who had recently been visiting with Caesar. Sid is probably most recognized by younger viewers as his role as the coach in the movie Grease.

Good Heavens - Failed 1976 Sitcom Does anyone remember this short-lived sitcom from the spring of 1976? Good Heavens starred Carl Reiner as Mr. Angel--a visitor from the hereafter who descends to earth to answer wishes and do good deeds for deserving people. Reiner was the show's only recurring character. Guest stars included Susan Dey, Florence Henderson, Penny Marshall, Alex Karras and Don Ameche. Only 13 episodes aired sporadically on ABC from February to June 1976. Here is the show's intro. Don't blink: It runs for a mere 17 seconds.
