His reluctant sidekick was a dodgy cab driver called Lonely, who smelled terrible when frightened - and he was terrified of Callan.

Willard Scott created the character of Ronald McDonald for a Washington DC franchise in 1963, at their request. His costume looks kinda creepy compared to todays version of Ronald. A paper cup for a nose? C'mon!!! And check out the food tray on his head.
