The Prisoner is a 1967 UK television series starring Patrick McGoohan as Englishman who, after resigning from his position as a top-level government agent, is held captive in a small, colourful village for reasons only hinted at to him (or viewers). Each episode typically features the imprisoned former agent, known as "Number Six", failing to escape "the Village", but resisting the interrogation and brainwashing attempts by his captors.
Patrick McGoohan`s catch phrase became well known..."I am not a number — I am a free man!"

Dirty Dancing was a 1987 film which is credited as being one of the most watched films of all time. The film stars Patrick Swayze, Jennifer Grey, Cynthia Rhodes, and Jerry Orbach. The story details the moment of time when a teenage girl crosses over into womanhood both physically and emotionally, through a relationship with a dance instructor during a family summer vacation in the Catskills. Approximately one third of the movie involves dancing scenes, and the finale is considered by many to be "the most goosebump-inducing dance scene in movie history.

This is almost unbelievable. Patrick Stefan of the Dallas Stars fails to clinch a Stanley Cup playoff game with an empty-net goal that anyone's grandmother ought to be able to score. Worse, his gaffe turns into a tying goal for the Edmonton Oilers. (Dallas did eventually win the game in overtime, however.)

Ask any youngen if they've listened to opera and the answer will no doubt be no. What most will forget is hearing it in a film or as the undertone to a popular hit. I put forward the following for your approval. From the movie, Hannibal this atmospheric piece was written by Patrick Cassidy and included in the Hans Zimmer soundtrack. The words are from Dante's "La Vita Nuova". Gives me chills just to listen to this.

Ed Sullivan was the really big mystery challenger on this episode of What's My Line. (I'm guessing this show aired on March 17, 1957--St, Patrick's Day. Hence all the allusions to Irish contestants.)
