Song of the South One, if not my favorite Disney flick! It took years before they decided to release this one. Brings back Great Memories of popcorn and the innocents of being a kid.

Family Affair 1966 Uncle Bill meets Jody for the first time and Sissy for the first time in many years. This wonderful family oriented series which ran from 1966-1971 explored the trials of well-to-do civil engineer and bachelor Bill Davis (Brian Keith), as he attempted to raise his brother's orphaned children in his luxury New York City apartment. Davis's stuffy English butler Mr. Giles French (Sebastian Cabot), also had adjustments to make as he was usually saddled with the responsibility of caring for 15-year-old Cissy (Kathy Garver) and the 6-year-old twins, Jody (Johnny Whitaker) and Buffy (Anissa Jones). Brian Keith was nominated for an Emmy three times for his role as Uncle Bill. On August 28, 1976, after partying all night at the beach town of Oceanside, California, Anissa Jones was found dead in the bedroom of a friend's house, she was only 18. The coroner's report listed her death as accidental drug overdose. Found in her system were cocaine, PCP, methaqualone and Seconal. The coroner who examined Jones reported that she had died from one of the most severe drug overdoses he had ever seen. In 1984, her brother, Paul Jones, also died of a drug overdose.

On The Set with Steven Spielberg In a career that spans almost four decades his stories never cease to amaze, thrill and touch our hearts. 'Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull', which began filming in June of this year, is scheduled for release on May 22, 2008. Spielberg has also begun plans for an Abraham Lincoln biopic, titled 'Lincoln', which will star Liam Neeson as the 16th US President, and is also scheduled for release in 2008. He's also started working on a space travel movie entitled 'Interstellar'. It will be based on real scientific theories of black holes, worm holes, time travel, and gravity. Steven is also planning a motion capture film trilogy based on The Adventures of Tintin. 'Jurassic Park IV' is also in development, and another of his upcoming projects is a miniseries which he will produce with Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman, titled 'The Pacific'.

Hula Hoop - Frisbee Inventor Passes today at age 82 ARCADIA, Calif., Jan. 17 (UPI) -- Richard Knerr, co-founder of Wham-O, which gave the world the Hula Hoop and the Frisbee, has died at an Arcadia, Calif., hospital at 82. Knerr died Monday at Methodist Hospital after suffering a stroke earlier in the day at his home, his wife, Dorothy, told the Los Angeles Times. Knerr and his boyhood buddy Arthur "Spud" Melin started the company in 1948 in Pasadena. They named the enterprise Wham-O for the sound that their first product, a slingshot, made when it hit its target. Dozens of toys followed that often bore playful names like Superball, Slip 'N Slide and the Water Wiggle. But, they hit it big with a redesigned bamboo ring used for exercise in Australia that became one of the most popular fads of all time -- the Hula Hoop. Knerr and Melin figure they sold 25 million hoops in four months in the late 1950s. It had one major fault: it never wore out. In 1958, while the hoop was going great guns, the team came up with the Frisbee, another wildly popular fad that sold an estimated 100 million over the next 30 years. In addition to his wife, Knerr, who was born June 30, 1925, in San Gabriel,Calif., was survived by three children, two stepchildren and eight grandchildren. Melin died in 2002.

The Original Mission Impossible IMO, one season of this series was worth more than all of Tom Cruise's later films put together. Each episode of 'Mission: Impossible', which ran from 1966-1973, featured a unique opening. Clips from the upcoming show were edited together in the fast-paced style of Lalo Schrifrin's brilliant theme song and played before the opening credits. The episodes featured here are from the second and third seasons. You'll find some interesting MI trivia in the Comments Section...
