Green Acres theme Green Acres was another 1960s sitcom with a recognizable theme. It was a reversal of The Beverly Hillbillies: Rich urbanites moved to the simplicity of a rural setting. This show had an element of surrealism about it. Oliver Douglas was often the only sane person among a group of crazies. It is reputedly Conan O'Brien's favorite TV show.

BURNT OFFERINGS The Absolute Scariest Book and Film Ever Up the ancient stairs, behind the locked door, something lives, something evil, from which no one has ever returned!! I first read the book, written by Robert Marasco, and then the film came out in 1976. The book scared the bejesus out of me, the film gave me goose bumps. Add to that the fact that I had a huge crush on Oliver Reed at the time and this became one of my top three favorite horror films. Without a doubt, one of the scariest movies that I have ever seen. This scene with the undertaker and coffin coming up the stairs will give you nightmares, and the final scene in the attic will throw you out of your seat. Which was scariest? The book definitely, because you have to rely on your imagination. It starred Oliver Reed, Karen Black, Lee Montgomery, Bette Davis, Burgess Meredith, Eileen Hechart, and Dub Taylor.

Jean Oliver In the late 1990s Oliver was diagnosed with cancer, and he died in Shreveport, Louisiana, on the same date that Screamin' Jay Hawkins, Charles M. Schulz, and Tom Landry all died....February 12, 2000.

Where Is Love From my all time favourite musical. The only reason I pick this tune from a show full of monster hits, is that it I played the part of Oliver when I was 10 and it's the only one that still gives me the tingles down the spine.

Oliver Original Cast 1964 February 9, 1964 was a good night to be in the audience of The Ed Sullivan Show. Not only would you have witnessed The Beatles make their American TV debut, as an added attraction you would have seen the original Broadway cast of Oliver! perform two songs. (That's Davy Jones as the Artful Dodger in the I'd Do Anything number!)
