The Jetsons ABC TV Promo A Rare black and white promo from 1962. "The Jetsons," aired on prime time after 16 months in development, was set in 2062, 100 years after the first episode was broadcast. Supposedly, the series had no chance at survival, because it was scheduled opposite "Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color" and "Dennis the Menace," which had both built up an audience in previous seasons. However, ABC continued to show the original 24 episodes of "The Jetsons" for 15 years! The laugh track was removed when Worldvision syndicated these episodes in 1985. Episode title cards were added to all of the Jetsons shows, old and new, and a remake of the old Jetsons theme song was employed for use.

Doubledy Deep in Chocolate MMMMMM...I'm such a chocoholic!! Here's a 60's 'Three Musketeers' commercial with Joe E Brown, that was shown somewhere between 'RUFF 'N' REDDY' and the 'DENNIS THE MENACE' shows on Saturday mornings. Brown was a big star in comedies in the 30's, but if he's remembered at all now, it's usually for his role in "Some Like It Hot". Three Musketeers got its name because it originally came in three separate pieces: strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate. Later it became just a single chocolate bar but the Mars Company kept the name.

Dennis The Menace Today Best remembered for his lead role in the CBS television series Dennis the Menace. Chosen for the role by creator Hank Ketcham himself. Finding himself forever typecast as "Dennis the Menace," North quit acting and joined the Navy in the 1970s. He later served as a prison security guard in Florida. [3] He is now retired and lives in Lake Butler, the seat of Union County in northern Florida

Link Wray Rumble 1958 When Link Wray released the thrilling, ominous "Rumble" in 1958, it became one of the only instrumentals ever to be banned from radio play for fear that it might incite gang violence. By stabbing his amplifier's speaker cone with a pencil, Wray created the distorted, overdriven sound that would reverberate through metal, punk and grunge. Wray, who proudly claimed Shawnee Indian ancestry and lost a lung to tuberculosis, was the archetypal leather-clad badass, and his song titles alone "Slinky," "The Black Widow" convey the force and menace of his playing. "He was fucking insane," said the Black Keys' Dan Auerbach. "I would listen to 'Some Kinda Nut,' over and over. It sounded like he was strangling the guitar like it was screaming for help." When Wray died in 2005, Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen both performed "Rumble" onstage in tribute. "If it hadn't been for Link Wray and 'Rumble,'" said Pete Townshend, "I would have never picked up a guitar."
