Featured Member- jedwgrn aka Jack My name is Jack and this trek of mine began in Dallas in '49. Raised in Irving, TX, I am one of seven kids which made for a crowd in a small house and you had to not be the last to the table during chow time. Now, I am the father of four and the grandfather of nine and I am proud of everyone of them. Just ask me, I have pictures. My family was and is the primary focus for most of my life and kids in sports and other activities claimed most of my free time. These are the days I thought I would have more time for myself, not so. I seem to be busier now than ever. April marks my 40th anniversary with the US Army in one capacity or another. Talk about being a lifer. In April of '69 I was drafted into the Army in Dallas, spent two years in (infantry and Vietnam) and then got out. The next two years I went to school while a reserve member and then returned to active duty in 1973. My military retirement was effective July of 1992. I retired as a Master Sergeant after serving as a First Sergeant for seven years. Immediately thereafter I returned to service in a civilian capacity, which is where I remain. Today it still is all about soldiers. I work and teach in a dental prosthetics laboratory for an Army residency program that has Army and Navy dentists to include two Canadian officers as residents. I have a job that I really like what I do. So, as I have always asked myself, 'Where to from here?' Haven't got a clue - perhaps this is the last stop, God willing.

Featured Member- Stalzz aka Steve --our 3rd Steve! Hi, I am known as Stalzz on your site. I was born in November, 1964 and I'm from Denver Colorado. I love old movies and old music and old TV shows, and I collect a lot of it on DVD and CD. I also collect celebrity autographed memorabilia. I have over 500 items signed by various celebs from movies and TV shows, with a specialty in character actors and actresses. The only genre of autographs I don't collect are sports figures. I don't collect the autographs to sell them, I collect them to keep them. My most favorite ones are from Astronaut John Glenn (personalized to me), actor Edward G. Robinson and comedians George Burns, Buster Keaton and Harold Lloyd. I have been a part time radio broadcaster for 20 years at Denver's public radio jazz station KUVO- www.kuvo.org I'm single, I've never been married, I have no kids but I do have a black cat named Spooky. I really enjoy seeing all the old TV show clips on You Remember That, especially the musical ones and classic TV commercials.

Featured Member- Lava1964 I was born in a small Canadian city in 1964. I am unmarried. Miss Right has not yet come along. I'm beginning to think she never will. As a kid, I loved acquiring knowledge on a variety of topics, hence my love of trivia. My father got me interested in history by making me watch documentaries when I was eight years old. I am truly grateful he did this. I developed my own passion for sports history. My favorite sports are baseball, boxing, tennis, hockey, football, and soccer. Baseball is far and away my favorite. I live and die with the exploits of the Boston Red Sox. (I was a Red Sox fan long before it became fashionable.) I played fastpitch softball as a kid when that was a popular pastime in Canada. I was a second baseman: Good glove, weak arm, decent contact hitter, not much power. I normally batted second. I have been a softball umpire since 1978. Last time I counted, I had worked over 2,300 games. I've always loved words and the English language. Its possibilities are truly limitless. I modestly say I am a writer of some repute. I began writing pieces for sports encyclopedias at age 19 and really haven't stopped penning sports articles since then. I used to write a weekly sports nostalgia column for a local newspaper. I allegedly had half a million readers at one time. (My column ran for five years before a dim-witted editor took over the sports department and dismissed all the freelance columnists and replaced them with hand-picked toadies. Accordingly, I have put a curse on him and his family. I've had three books on baseball history published. All have received kind reviews. I still write the occasional piece for nostalgia publications. If anyone is really interested in my stuff, I sell collections of my columns on demand. My books are available through mail order from my publisher in North Carolina. I am a tournament Scrabble player and official. I have an expert rating (which I am quite proud of) and I'm usually ranked in the top 40 in Canada. I help run a local club and local tourneys, and, for some reason, I am much in demand to officiate and organize tournaments in many places. Scrabble has allowed me to travel to Las Vegas, Reno, Phoenix, New Orleans, and this summer...Orlando. It's nice work if you can get it. It must be my aptitude for organization which I acquired from both my parents. Scrabble is quite a diverse and odd subculture. Nevertheless, my best friends are Scrabble players. The game helps me retain what is left of my sanity. Along those same lines, I enjoy all competitive endeavors. I always play to win. This is why I love game shows too, I suppose. Occasionally I do real jobs too. I've been a private tutor since 1994. My students think I'm brilliant. I always try to live up to their expectations. I think I have a good sense of humor. It's a hybrid of American and British mirth. I especially love puns. I am cuddly.

Featured Member- Steve I was born a poor black boyÖ..I always wanted to use that in a bio! Can anyone tell us what movie that is a quote from and why it is funny? So many of you are clamoring for my bio so you have to give the public what they want! I was born into a military family so we moved around a lot as young kids, fortunately I had four brothers .We were hardly ever indoors playing with our Man From Uncle toy sets, our play guns, trucks and of course our bikes. I love coming across a posting from our members that stir up the memories from childhood like you Iím sure! I remember the theme to Perry Mason as I was just getting settled for bed, or someone posting a movie that just mom and I watched together, or the memories from high school from a song I had forgotten. After high school I entered the U.S. Navy and served onboard the U.S.S. America (CV-66). After four years with the Navy I worked for the cable company as an installer and left being a line technician within 4 years. I then started my own video production company. Iíve also worked and trained as a professional photographer so those two trades kept me busy until the economy tanked. I currently freelance for the local TV news and look to expand this with other stations and I also am starting a new website for brides, Iíll let you know when this launches. I am married to TerryAnn and we have a 14 year old son Alex and a daughter Catie who is 7 going on 17. We also have two cats named Sonny and Cher (of course!). I started YRTwhen I was frustrated with not find much memorabilia on the internet. Iím sure most of the clips on YRT is on YouTube, but you have to know what you are looking for and often times you have to be very specific in your search. So YRT is all the memories growing up under one roof! I love it when a member posts something I would never think of, itís like seeing an old friend again. Speaking of friends, thatís what makes this site so special, making friends with the members around the world!

Featured Member- Mizzouhillbilly aka Scott Hello my YRT friends. Yíall know me as Mizzouhillbilly, but my friends call me Scott. As you can tell from my tag Iím from the great state of Missouri. I was raised in a small town not far from my familyís cattle farm. My father worked for the USGS (grandfather wanted his kids to go to college and not work the farm) and moved us to the west coast in 1982 (I was 16 at the time). I have been in California since. I married my high school sweetheart in í85 and she has blessed me with 4 beautiful kids. I am very family oriented, so we are a very close knit family. So, my life has been spent doing as much as possible with my family. I was a girl scout (YES! A girl scout) for many years as my wife was the troop leader. At the same time I coached my two oldest from t-ball to softball until they entered high school. I am also a proud cheer dad running all over the country to many cheer competitions. The rest of my time is spent getting a few hours of sleep and working a government job. Oh yeah, I do get to spend some time with my lovely wife. Things are starting to slow down as my kids are getting older allowing more time for myself. My oldest is 21 and about to graduate from UC Berkeley and plans on continuing her education at Cambridge next year. My second is 19 and a sophomore at a local state college and an avid photographer. My third is 17 and is about to graduate high school. She is a competitive cheerleader (like those you see on ESPN not high school) and is headed to Mizzou next year. Then my son is 14 and about to enter high school. He is an avid chef and is planning on opening his own pastry shop after getting his business degree (his words not dads). Once theyíre all out of the house Iím headed back to the Ozarks to live my life sitting on the porch in my rocker with a cold one in one hand and my wife in the other. That is my life in a nutshell. I want to thank all my YRT friends for all their posts and support. My kids love seeing all the stuff from my childhood that I always talk about.

Featured Member- ChowDog aka Steve I was born and raised an "Army Brat" in Ft. Campbell, KY(1956) and lived the Army life until I was 10 years old. At which time my dad went to Vietnam and moved us back to my mom's and his hometown of Rockingham, NC which I still call "home". I had the typical home life and my parents were the best in the world as far as I'm concerned. I have moved myself several times since then to include a tour in the Air Force from 1974-1978. Went to college at UNC-Greensboro from 1979-1981. Didn't graduate though. Got married and moved back to Rockingham. That one didn't work out! But good things come to those that wait and married the true love of my life, Mary, in 1995. We have lived in Myrtle Beach, SC since then, but prior to that we lived in Atlanta, GA. Life has sure had it's ups and downs, but my "best friend" Mary always seems to make them OK regardless of what happens. We don't have any children but we do have 2 dogs that have us trained very well! I've had several professions over my life time to include working for Campbell Soup for awhile. But the past few years I have been heavily involved in marine electronics installations with my own business up until 2007 when doctors told me my right hip and my back just couldn't take that any more. What do doctors know huh? At least that was my thinking but boy did they prove me wrong! (So did my back and hip!) Got a job with Kodak after that as Director of Photography and Training at the Hard Rock Theme Park in Myrtle Beach that went belly up after their first year and now on lay off. BUT WAIT! Someone actually bought the place and looks like I may be back at work. Keep those fingers crossed!!! I stumbled on to YRT about a year ago. And for awhile my wife would literally have to make me come to bed! I couldn't get enough of this site! The past few months I went through surgery on my back and was laid up for awhile, was getting better, got a nasty sinus infection and that laid me up as well! (Talk about bad luck!) But all is better and I'm back at it again with new stuff to upload. Steve has made on heck of a site! While I don't know him or others on here personally I can tell you out of all the sites on the internet this is most certainly my favorite. People like "Jedgwrn" who supplys tons of trivia, "Marty6697" with all those great videos (where does he find all that stuff????) and "Lava1964" who I believe has every single episode of "What's My Line"! (I love 'um Lava!!) There are others but I've bored everyone enough. :-) One things for sure, Steve deserves massive "Kudos" for all his efforts! A "YRT" fan forever... The other "Steve", "ChowDog"

Featured Member- CarlBuchanan My name is Carl and I've been a member of YRT for several very enjoyable months. I was born in Dallas, Texas almost 52 years ago in April of 1957. I was a teen in the 70's and that's where my heart will always be. You probably noticed that from the 70's era videos I've posted lately. Disco was my main musical enjoyment along with a lot of the soft rock sounds of the 70's. I graduated from East Texas State University in Commerce, Texas in 1981, and married my college sweetheart in 1982. We have three children, 20, 17 and 14. I've lived in in and around Dallas all my life and will continue living here until I die.
