The very first Happy Meal in 1979 was the Circus Wagon Happy Meal. It cost one dollar and contained either a McDoodler stencil, a puzzle book, a McWrist wallet, an ID bracelet or McDonaldland character erasers. The original Happy Meal consisted of a hamburger or cheeseburger, twelve-ounce soft drink, a small order of french fries, and a "McDonaldland Cookie Sampler", a small portion of cookies.

1964 postcard featuring McDonald's Filet-o'-Fish
McDonald's introduced the Filet-o'-Fish sandwich in the early 1960s in an effort to entice Catholics to the chain on Fridays. At the time, Catholics were not allowed to eat meat on any Friday of the calendar year.

Probably the best commercial McDonald's ever had. If you're over 40, you'll recognize the tune and a few faces. Times sure have changed. Where are the pimply faced teenage employees?

Here is a rare look behind the scene, deep into the large milkshake cup of McDonaldland commercials.
This was aimed at one thing only, consumerism in the 1970s. This commercial was filmed in 1973, obviously with a serious face at selling jumping Filet-O-Fish sandwiches and a moving Hamburger Patch.
All through this, I was waiting for the children to terrorize and consume the living food.

Remember when you were a kid and your parents took you to the circus? Didn't you just love the funny clowns? Thanks to Stephen King, all that changed when he created his most evil character, Pennywise. Here's a clip from the 1990 film IT with Tim Curry at his best as Pennywise the Dancing Clown...still gives me chills when I watch it.
