Henry Mancini was responsible for the full effect of the familiar, unforgettable opening, which was broadcast concurrently on Sunday - Wednesday evenings. This was good entertainment. The show eventually brought Richard Widmark, Susan Saint James, Rock Hudson, Dennis Weaver, Peter Falk, George Peppard, Richard Boone to our homes. The well-tuned in weekly program showed more than just drama, but showcased popular dramatic seventies actors inside our living rooms. There was no shortage of spinoffs from this. *E*
