I just realize that the 60's gave us alot of television entertainment that is still carried over to this day. Thanks to TVLand network, My kids are enjoying some of the same tv show reruns that I enjoyed as a kid.I was born in the late 60s so most were reruns for me as well but I still enjoyed them just the same. Thanks TVLand.

"The show may best be known for it's February 1972 episode "Love and The Happy Days," which became the pilot episode for the popular tv series "Happy Day's". That episode was written by Garry Marshall and featured Ron Howard as Ritchie, Marion Ross as his Mom, Anson Williams as Potsie. . . to name a few. . ."

You would put your finger
in the ring allowing the marble balls to hang below. Here is where the fun
starts. The idea was to get the two balls clacking against each other by pulling up on the ring lightly.
a lot of kids in the 70`s ended up in hospital with broken wrists.they where eventually banned.
hehehe, health and safety was a lot different back then.

Cabbage Patch Kids are a brand of doll created by Xavier Roberts. The original dolls were all cloth and were available at local craft shows, and later at Babyland General Hospital in Cleveland, Georgia. The dolls attracted the attention of toy manufacturer Coleco, who began mass producing them for the public in 1983.The gimmicks of the dolls are their uniqueness and the fact that they were adoptable. No two were exactly alike; each doll had a different eye color, facial features, hair, and/or outfit.

British stop motion animated children's television series. The first episode was broadcast by the BBC on November 16, 1969 and a further twenty-five episodes were made. The twenty sixth episode was broadcast on November 10, 1972 and the final Clangers programme was a four minute election special on October 10, 1974. The programme featured a number of small creatures living in peace and harmony on - and in - a small, hollow planet far far away, nourished by Blue String Pudding, and Green Soup harvested from the planet's volcanic soup wells by the Soup Dragon. The Clangers looked similar to mice and anteaters, though they were pink, wore clothes, and spoke in whistles. These whistles (performed on swanee whistles)followed the rhythm and intonation of a script in the English language, including swear-words!

Remember the brady's dog? Whatever happened to him?------------The dog that played Tiger was hit by a car and killed early in the first season (although Tiger's death was not referred to in any episode). When a replacement dog proved problematic, the producers decided the dog would only appear when essential to the plot. Tiger appeared in about half the episodes in the first season and about half a dozen episodes in the second season. His last appearance was in "What Goes Up," which aired in 1971. Eventually, the dog was phased out altogether. He disappeared completely after the third season and was not mentioned again, not even when the show ended.

The complete text:
I really don’t know if I should smoke…
… but my brothers and my sweetheart smoke, and it does give me a lot of pleasure.
Women began to smoke, so they tell me, just about the time they began to vote, but that’s hardly a reason for women smoking. I guess I just like to smoke, that’s all.
It so happens that I smoke CHESTERFIELD. They seem to be milder and they have a very pleasing taste.

In 1987, Jerry Lundegaard (William H. Macy), a car salesman from Minneapolis, Minnesota with financial troubles, hatches a plan to end his financial difficulties. Through his mechanic, a former criminal named Shep Proudfoot, he enlists the service of two hit men, Gaear Grimsrud (Peter Stormare) and Carl Showalter (Steve Buscemi), at a bar in Fargo, North Dakota to kidnap his wife, Jean, who will be returned unharmed for a payment of $80,000. Jerry's secret plan is to tell his wealthy but antagonistic father-in-law, Wade, that the ransom is $1,000,000 intending to use the large difference to settle unspecified debts he has accrued and to invest in a business venture involving a parking lot...another black comedy that i thought was terrific! I also got a kick out of how much and how often the local police chief, heavily pregnant Marge Gunderson (Frances McDormand)and her sweet husband, Norm, ate!!
