Hoots Mon Lord Rockingham's XI. I don't know if many of my friends across the pond will have heard or even remember this but I sure do. Reached #1 in the UK in 1958.

Frankie Laine Sings Jezebel Frankie was a typical Sicilian kid, born, Francesco Paolo LoVecchio, in the heart of Chicago's Little Italy on March 30, 1913, where his father worked at one time as the personal barber for gangster Al Capone. His family had several Mafia connections, and when Frankie was young, he was living with his grandfather when the latter was hit by some members of a rival faction. He began as a marathon dancer, but soon realized that he wanted to make singing his life's career. He became one of the most successful American singers of the twentieth century, often billed as America's Number One Song Stylist, his other nicknames included Mr. Rhythm, Old Leather Lungs, and Old Man Jazz. His hits included "That's My Desire", "That Lucky Old Sun," "Mule Train", "Cry of the Wild Goose", "Jezebel," "High Noon", "I Believe", "Hey Joe!", "The Kid's Last Fight", "Cool Water", "Moonlight Gambler", "Love is a Golden Ring", "Rawhide", and "Lord, You Gave Me a Mountain". His career as an entertainer spanned approximately 75 years. Frankie passed away on February 6, of this year, due to heart failure after having survived two bypass surgeries several years earlier.

Gaylord The Walking Bloodhound One of Ideal's cool "battery operated animal series" toys. Gaylord will walk forward when his leash is pulled once, stop when pulled second time and go backwards when pulled again! He also was designed to walk up shallow stairs. He came with a leash and bone. His nose has a magnet in it which would allow him to pick up the bone with his nose.

Adiemus If you hadn't guessed by now, I like music with atmosphere. This piece by Karl Jenkins has been used in Ads, TV programmes and film. The lead singer in this song is Miriam Stockley (not Enya) and her voice is quite unique. The video that goes along with this is a compilation of clips from the BBC's Planet Earth series, a must see if your into natural history.

Stanley Cup The coolest trophy in sports is the Stanley Cup. The Cup was originally the silver bowl that is atop the present trophy. It was purchased for about $50 by Lord Stanley of Preston, the Governor-General of Canada, and was intended to be awarded annually to the amateur hockey champions of Canada. It was first presented in 1893 to the Montreal Amateur Athletic Association club. Professional teams were openly allowed to compete for it starting in 1909. The National Hockey League took permanent possession of it in 1926. Over the years it's had its share of adventures and misadventures: The Stanley Cup has been used as a flower pot, dropkicked into Ottawa's Rideau Canal, left on a Montreal street corner, and used as an exotic dancer's prop in a New York City strip joint.

Traci Lords Workout Video You can't make this stuff up, folks. Former adult film star Traci Lords made this cheesy workout video sometime in the late eighties. The script Traci is reading sounds like it was written by Dr. Seuss.

Stovepipe Stanley Cup This is what hockey's Stanley Cup looked like from the mid-1920s until 1946 as more and more silver rings were added to it. Its resulting 'stovepipe' appearance was less than aesthetically pleasing, so Lord Stanley's famous Cup was redesigned. Since 1947 it has had its more familiar, modern look. The width of the Cup's rings were standardized in 1957.
