Brought out in the early part of the eighties, this computer-wired film was known to have a unique 80s soundtrack filled with early unique songs from "solo" singers, and groups who have since been forgotten. One of the most prominent songs on the album was from the lead singer of The Human League. 'Together In Electric Dreams', the video which featured vocalist Phil Oakley brought some gossip with it. Most had thought that the group has disbanded at the time.
As with "Metropolis," the album was produced by studio genius Giorgio Moroder. "Electric Dreams" is filled with songs specifically recorded for the film only. The soundtrack was known to be hard to come by for a over a decade, this just after a few years of the theatrical release from theaters. Today, the soundtrack is able to be found, possibly by order or by luck. In fact, this almost forgotten movie is as well able to be purchased on the entertainment market of today, this after more than 10 years unseen. "Electric Dreams" caught a special time on film, and is now known to have been a major influence on its audience with its unique "computer gone mad" story. With that, both versitile leads, Virginia Madsen and Lenny Von Dohlen can still be seen on big and small screens in 2009.
