Frances Folsom Cleveland Reputed to be America's most attractive American First Lady, Frances Folsom was the wife of Grover Cleveland. Cleveland was a bachelor when he became president in 1885. He married Folsom in 1886 when he was 49 and she was not quite 22, making her the youngest First Lady ever. (Attaboy, Grover!) Her father, Herbert Folsom, had been Cleveland's best friend. When Herbert died in 1875, Cleveland became the executor of his estate and 11-year-old Frances became Cleveland's ward. That Cleveland's relationship with Frances eventually evolved from guardian to romantic interest would likely be considered scandalous today, but little was made of it in 1886. They had a happy 22-year marriage that ended with the former president's death in 1908. She died in 1947.

Gordon and Meredith MacRae Sing From November 1954 on the Colgate Comedy Hour, Gordon MacRae and his 10-year-old daughter Meredith sing Count Your Blessings. (Even at that young age you could tell Meredith was going to be quite the fetching young lady.)

Featured Member - Ray- Original YouTube Introductory Video March 2007 To introduce myself to this site...let me start with my original Introductory Video, produced for YouTube, from March of 2007. This pretty much describes me and my involvement in home video. But collecting videos is only one of my facets...I have been collecting pop songs on audiotape since the 1960s (I have a reel-to-reel collection that is in essence a history of Cleveland radio during the 1960s), I have a newspaper collection that I'm trying to sell, and have about 750 45's that I'm still trying to figure out what to do with! I also learned how to become somewhat computer-savvy....I have published two websites (one devoted to my precious Betamax video format, it's at betainfoguide.net, the other devoted to one of the most popular Top 40 AM stations ever to hit Cleveland, WIXY-1260 - that site is at www.wixy1260.com). I am originally from Cleveland but lived in Las Vegas for 4 1/2 wonderful years in the mid-90s, and hope to get back there someday....permanently. Most of my working life has been spent in retail, mainly the restaurant business, although now I'm working at New York Frozen Foods baking bread! I love to meet people with common interests, which is why I'm here; plus I have 7 active channels on YouTube! I married a wonderful Japanese lady in 1980 and we'll soon be celebrating 30 years of married bliss! Take care, and let me hear from you!

Eleanor Roosevelt on Whats My Line From October 18, 1953, former First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt appears as a mystery challenger on What's My Line (proving it was very prestigious to be on that show during its heyday).

Shirley Temple in Young People Shirley Temple, Jackie Oakie, and Charlotte Greenwood perform Fifth Avenue in the film Young People (1940). This was Shirley's last childhood movie for 20th Century Fox. Her contract was allowed to expire after six years because she was no longer the cute little girl she once was. Life can be tough when you're an old lady of 12 years...

On The Street Where You Live This is one of a half dozen terrific numbers that made My Fair Lady one of the greatest musicals ever. From the 1964 movie version, Jeremy Brett performs On The Street Where You Live. (Okay, somebody named Bill Shirley is actually doing the singing, but it's Jeremy Brett you see.)
