Enjoy the memories, and the song, Bette Davis Eyes, by Kim Carnes. The movies from this clip: All About Eve, What Ever Happened To Baby Jane, The Petrified Forest, Of Human Bondage, The Letter, The Anniversary, The Man Who Came To Dinner, Old Acquaintance, Jezebel, The Star, Dead Ringer, Marked Woman, Now Voyager, Dark Victory, The Bride Came C.O.D., The Little Foxes

We Are Family YRT Best known for their work with Chic in the late '70s, siblings Debbie, Kim, Joni, and Kathy Sledge -- collectively Sister Sledge -- reached the height of their popularity during the disco era but had been recording since the early '70s and were still active in the late '90s. The group was formed in Philadelphia in 1971, when the sisters' ages ranged from 12 to 16, and they recorded their first single, "TIME WILL TELL," for the Philly-based Money Back label. (For the first few years, the group called itself Sisters Sledge.) In 1972, Sister Sledge signed with Atco and recorded its second single, "WEATHERMAN," which was followed by the Jackson 5-like "MAMA NEVER TOLD ME" in 1973... but i like this one, "WE ARE FAMILY," the best!!!

Kim Novak the Lavender Blonde Kim Novak was born Marilyn Pauline Novak in Chicago, Illinois. She is perhaps best known for her performance in Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo (1958). Her films include The French Line (1954) Pushover (1954) Phffft! (1954) Son of Sinbad (1955) 5 Against the House (1955) Picnic (1955) The Man with the Golden Arm (1955) The Eddy Duchin Story (1956) Jeanne Eagels (1957) Pal Joey (1957) Vertigo (1958) Bell, Book and Candle (1958) Middle of the Night (1959) Strangers When We Meet (1960) Pepe (1960) (Cameo) The Notorious Landlady (1962) Boys' Night Out (1962) Showman (1963) (documentary) Of Human Bondage (1964) Kiss Me, Stupid (1964) The Amorous Adventures of Moll Flanders (1965) The Legend of Lylah Clare (1968) The Great Bank Robbery (1969) The White Buffalo (1977) Just a Gigolo (1979) The Mirror Crack'd (1980) I Have Been Very Pleased (1987) (short subject) The Children (1990) Liebestraum (1991) She has always been one of my favorite actresses and I think she's one of the most underrated and overlooked actresses of her generation. Kim Novak was a unique phenomenon. As the last of the "manufactured" screen goddesses and Columbia's answer to Marilyn Monroe, Kim had a more refined sex appeal than the other blond goddesses of the 1950's. She radiated a kind of mystery that harked back to the days of Garbo and Dietrich. Onscreen Kim Novak seems distant, enigmatic, thoughtful and somehow sad. She has been referred to as the reluctant goddess, the melancholy blonde and the lavender blonde. The studio created the idea that lavender was Kim Novak's favorite color as part of her movie star image. However, I think the term Lavender Blonde fits Kim Novak - it sets her apart from the sunny Doris Day or the gilded Marilyn Monroe. Lavender is closer to blue - makes you think of Madeleine in Vertigo, lost in thought by the seashore.

Do You Remember the Good Humor Man Do you remember when he would patrol the neighborhood in his white uniform and cap and the kids would all run after his truck until he stopped to dispense his ice cream treats? My favorites were an Eskimo Pie or a Fudgesicle.. for only a dime!

Diffrent Strokes cast photo This is a cast photo from Diff'rent Strokes, a popular NBC sitcom that ran from 1978 through 1985. The show was about a Park Avenue millionaire widower who decides to adopt two black kids. (I'm sure that happens all the time!) The cst members were Todd Bridges as Willis, Conrad Bain as Mr. Drummond, Dana Plato as Kimberley, and Gary Coleman as Arnold. Today the show is cynically remembered for the legal and social troubles that befell its youthful stars. A Johnny Carson Carnac routine summed it up best: The answer is coffee, donuts, and a Diff'rent Strokes cast member. The question is name three things you find in the back seat of a police car!

Bedtime with Child Actresses A bedtime slideshow of child actresses, including Sarah & Emma Bolger, Kimberly J. Brown, Alakina Mann, Anna Paquin, Elizabeth Taylor, Shirley Temple, Jane Withers, and more. The song is "Goodnight My Love," by Shirley Temple. My favorite picture is Natalie Portman at 0:10. Look closely and you'll see that she's curled up with an oven mitt in the shape of a pig!
