Vic Morrow's first movie role was in Blackboard Jungle (1955). After this movie, he went into television and was cast in the TV series Combat! (1962-1967)Sadly, Vic Morrow is most famous now not for his life but for his death; together with two Vietnamese children, Morrow was killed in a still-controversial helicopter accident while filming on location for 1982's Twilight Zone: The Movie.

it is amazing how much musical tastes change. . . a song like this would never work today, but at the time . . it was immensely popular, and was recorded by several artists at the same time as this Phil Harris version . .
TRIVIA: Phil Harris was a popular all-around entertainer and would voice “Baloo” in the Disney feature THE JUNGLE BOOK.

This song was a spin off from the 70's TV show, It Ain't Half Hot Mum, in which an army concert party were posted to the jungles of Burma. Don Estelle and Windsor Davies bring a quirky style to this UK No.1 which was originally a sung by the Ink Spots way back in the forties.

Although actress Irish McKenna got the title role in 1953, Anita Ekberg was originally to star, but backed out at the last minute when her contract was bought up by John Wayne's production company, Batjac Productions. Debra Paget also tested for the role.
