More memories from my childhood: The Wonderful Stories of Professor Kitzel. The animated professor would introduce short, entertaining lessons about history, science, geography, and foreign cultures. They were great! This episode is about the discovery of King Tut's tomb. Kids today are so deprived of good stuff like this!

-Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of fictional Canadian brothers who hosted "The Great White North", a sketch which was introduced on SCTV for the show's third season when it moved to CBC Television in 1980. (Bob is played by Rick Moranis and Doug is played by Dave Thomas.)

This is a 1985 CBC report on the introduction of the less-than-beloved New Coke. I'm cynical enough to believe this whole New Coke business was a carefully orchestrated plot. Coca-Cola got millions of dollars of free advertising out of their self-made controversy.
