Fried Green Tomatoes 1991 Evelyn Couch (Kathy Bates) is having trouble in her marriage, and no one seems to take her seriously. While in a nursing home visiting relatives, she meets Ninny Threadgoode (Jessica Tandy), an outgoing old woman, who tells her the story of Idgie Threadgoode, a young woman in 1920's Alabama. Through Idgie's inspiring life, Evelyn learns to be more assertive and builds a lasting friendship of her own with Ninny. This film should be required viewing for any woman over 30. Kathy Bates and Jessica Tandy are both outstanding and unforgettable. I love, love, love this film!! (sorry about the sync)

On Golden Pond This was such a touching, inspiring, and classic story. The film from 1981, explored the often turbulent relationship a young woman shared with her father growing up, and the difficulties faced by a couple in the twilight years of a long marriage. Once you've seen it, it will always hold a special place in your heart.

Eddie Haskell Today Ken Osmond aka Eddie Haskell from Leave It To Beaver fame. Ken and his brother founded a charter helicopter company, and he later spent 18 years as a Los Angeles police officer. After sustaining multiple gunshot wounds during an attempted arrest, Osmond had to retire. In 1983, he returned to acting and Eddie Haskell, in The New Leave It to Beaver. The show ran until 1989 and featured his real sons, Eric and Christian Osmond, playing Eddie's sons Freddie and Boomer. In 1997, Osmond again showed up as Eddie in a cameo role in the feature-film version of Leave It to Beaver. Thanks for inspiring me to post this Teresa!
