George Richard Chamberlain (born March 31, 1934 in Beverly Hills, California) is an American actor who became a teen idol in the title role of the television show Dr. Kildare (1961-1966)... and, he's gay . . not that there is anything wrong with that!

During the 50's, there were so many biblical blockbusters produced, even though if you check in the bible, you'll discover that the facts have been changed for entertainment value. Still, Chuck made a great Moses, and no one can wear the costume of an Eqyptian pharoah like Yul. My first idol at the age of 10 was Chuck Heston. I sent him a letter and receivedd back, not only a note, but four autographed stills as well. Today this wouldn't happen.

One of entertainment's true good guys is Donny Osmond. Here he is, in his teen idol heyday, singing Sweet and Innocent in concert. The girls seem to like him, don't they?

Tina gives a stunning performance of John Fogerty's Proud Mary in 1982. Tina doesn't just sing a song-she assaults it full-force, high energy. She is a force of nature like a tornado. Known as the hardest working woman in show business, Tina works the stage like no one else in rock n roll. A true legend, there is no one like Tina Turner and there never will be. After 40 years in rock n roll, she's has earned the title Queen of Rock n Roll & is one of the most respected and idolized women in music today. The girl's got legs!!!

Vibrant, increasingly lovely teen fave Shelley Fabares withstood the test of time by transitioning successfully into adult parts unlike many of her 1960s "teen queen" peers who faded quickly into the memory books. She was born Michele Marie Fabares on January 19, 1944, in sunny Santa Monica, California. As the niece of singer/comedienne Nanette Fabray, she was indoctrinated early into the show biz life.
Teen-idol status came with her coming-of-age role as the ever-wholesome daughter Mary Stone on "The Donna Reed Show" (1958), a part she played for five seasons before embarking on a more grown-up film career. During the run of the classic sitcom, she and TV "brother" Paul Petersen grew so popular that they sprinted to adjoining pop singing celebrity, although both admitted that their vocal talents were limited. Shelley especially enjoyed a #1 Billboard hit with the breathy, sultry-edged "Johnny Angel." The character of Mary Stone was gently phased out of the show as her character "left for college."

Here's the story behind that group now known as Ricci, Desi and Billy. Ricci Martin, Desi Arnaz Jr. and Billy Hinsche were old friends, who grew up together in Beverly Hills, California. Their common bond was the music they made. Ricci, Desi & Billy is their newly formed musical group featuring original material as well as the songs of 60's musical teen sensations Dino, Desi & Billy (Desi & Billy's former group). Though this is a new configuration of the original band, the last names remain the same - Martin, Arnaz and Hinsche. The idea for this group came at a benefit for the late Carl Wilson of the Beach Boys, which was held at the Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles. Desi and Billy performed a song which Desi had written called "My Old friend" in honor of their friend and partner Dean Paul Martin (Dino) who died in a plane crash while flying for the California National Guard in 1987. Ricci performed his hit single, "Stop, Look Around" from his critically acclaimed album "Beached", co-produced by Carl Wilson and Billy Hinsche. There was such a powerful, magical feeling that night, that Ricci, Desi and Billy decided to form a trio.

DID WE REALLY LOOK LIKE THAT WHEN WE DANCED??
One of the longest lasting of the teen idols of the early 60's, Bobby Vee got his lucky break when he and and his band the Shadows filled in for the late Buddy Holly at a 1959 Mason City, Iowa, concert a few days after Holly was killed in a plane crash. His 1961 summer release Take Good Care of My Baby went to #1 on the Billboard U.S. He went on to record a string of international hits in the 1960s, including Devil or Angel, Rubber Ball (1961), More Than I Can Say (1961), Run To Him (1961), The Night Has a Thousand Eyes (1963), and Come Back When You Grow Up (1967). Bobby Vee currently performs at Dick Clark's American Bandstand Theater in Branson, Missouri. He performs in the "Original Stars of American Bandstand" show along with Fabian, Chris Montez, Brian Hyland, and the Chiffons. His sons Tommy and Jeff both perform in the show with him. When I look at him now I realize how very young he was at the time.
