Credits go to Awisefool. A classic Honeymooner's espisode where the Krandem's and the Norton's enter a costume contest and Norton gets called away on a sewer emergency right before they leave for the contest and arrives at the contest with seconds left in the judging wearing his sewer garb. Krandem thinks he has it in the bag and will win $50.00 with his Man from Space costume. You can guess the rest! I doubt you'll ever see something like The Honeymooner's again on TV due to the way Ralphy Boy treated poor Alice. This is my favorite epsisode and it is a Regular Riot! Comments like, Bang, Zoom, Pow, Right in the Kissah wouldn't cut it today, but as always, Ralph is always made to feel like a chump in the end and you'll usually hear him say, Baby, Yer da Greatest! Nuff' said, Hom-mi-na, Hom-mi-na!

As an April Fools joke in 1957, the respected BBC program Panorama broadcast this bogus news feature about the springtime spaghetti harvest...in Switzerland. Many people were duped by the prank and contacted the BBC to request more information about spaghetti farming.

Joan Crawford dances surprisingly well in the movie, Dance, Fools, Dance (1931). A young Clark Gable is briefly shown in this clip too!

This is what put Carol Burnett on the showbiz map in 1957--her comedy song I Made A Fool Of Myself Over John Foster Dulles. (Dulles was the rather dour and boring Secretary of State at the time). Here she is performing it on The Ed Sullivan Show.

Tommy7's Beatles clips got me to thinking about one of my favorite songs, Paul's 'Fool on the Hill', that was recorded in 1967. This clip was taken from the 1990 'Getback' Concert. It's funny how there was always talk about exactly what some of these songs meant. With this song, Paul stated that he 'was writing about someone like Maharishi' - a person who is called a fool by many but is in fact wise. In
Alistair Taylor's book, 'Yesterday', Taylor wrote about a mysterious incident involving a man who inexplicably appeared near him and Paul during a walk on Primrose Hill, and then disappeared again, soon after they had conversed about the existence of God. This allegedly prompted the writing of the song.

This short film made in early 1914, Kid Auto Races At Venice, is a significant milestone in cinematic history: It marked the screen debut of Charlie Chaplin's Little Tramp character. In this film, made without a script, Chaplin played a mischief-maker who causes trouble for a camera crew trying to film a kiddie car race. (When you think about it, Chaplin isn't behaving much differently than people today who make fools of themselves to get on TV at sports events or wherever TV news crews show up.) By the end of 1914, Chaplin would be the most popular film comedian in the world.

Brasil 66 always confused me, a song like this was good, but compared to the Beatles it sounded sappy.
