When the Beatles arrived in the United States in February 1964, Miami was a tour stop. (One Ed Sullivan Show was broadcast from there.) During their time in Florida the Beatles dropped in on Cassius Clay who was in training for his upcoming title encounter with world heavyweight champion Sonny Liston. The Fab Four and the Louisville Lip posed for a few publicity photos together, like the one shown below. According to some reports, Clay--soon to be Muhammad Ali--had no idea who the Beatles were.

Here is someone familiar from 1962 mornings, with a pretty catchy theme that was heard eventually in households across the world. This happy-go-lucky Wally has since become an iconic character that pops up now and then on various family programs.
The alligator always had some kind of strategy to enjoy life outdoors, which made the gator watchable. The program lasted two years, then going into heavy syndication immediately after.
There were just over fifty stories created throughout the early sixties. *E*

A small super-visitor comes from a great distance using a new name, collecting great assistance upon arrival here that miraculously becomes available to assist with his physical super power duty. Voice-overs and some sounds were created solely inside a southern Florida studio for North American consumptions.
Eventually, the excessive fighting and b+w standard style was snubbed for more up-to-date fare being offered during that time. Also, young rebellious acts were not increasingly welcome in the household, which became the standard in the mid 1970s. Internationally known, the character was policed into the corner by certain groups.
In the end, just over fifty stories were created for avid followers. Sorry about the "hearing impaired" level.

Back then, the Britsh-born woman was known all-over thanks to an American performer who you may know as Barbra. She was huge in the past decades, and may be still. In the following years, it was this individuals turn, this is when she really took to people with numerous compositions that are still known today. Some were even specified for her only. Before that, though, was all thanks to the influence of uncomparable Barbra. A woman that was known everywhere. Do you know which Barbra I may be talking of? Easy hint here, "The Way We ....", this was what really motivated her then. So many possiblities of having the same affect as Barbra had on her when she sat in the cinema in an awe that never left her.
Later, the inspired Brit even tried herself with various performances full of her gift. Remember that certain Florida show that was considered too realistic? You know it? Did you know that she is still being invited to play worldwide, as well as being asked to perform again and again in Nevada.
Still very hot. Easily, she has the ability to keep herself busy thanks to her very popular past.

Actor James MacArthur, who played "Danno" in the original version of television's "Hawaii Five-0" and was the son of actress Helen Hayes and playwright Charles MacArthur, died Thursday at age 72.
MacArthur's agent, Richard Lewis, said the actor died in Florida of "natural causes," but no direct cause was specified.
In a career that spanned more than four decades, MacArthur was most recognized for his role as Detective Danny "Danno" Williams on "Hawaii Five-0," which aired from 1968 to 1980. Episodes often ended with detective Steve McGarret, the lead character, uttering what became a pop culture catch phrase: "Book 'em, Danno."

Debralee Scott was an actress best known for her role on the sitcom Welcome Back, Kotter.
Her first film appearance came shortly after her 18th birthday in 1971. It was an uncredited role as a nude corpse in the Clint Eastwood cop flick Dirty Harry. At age 22 she found fame on Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman, playing Mary's sister, Cathy Shumway. In 1975-76 Scott appeared on the first season of the sitcom Welcome Back, Kotter as female sweathog Rosalie 'Hotsy' Totsy. Later she had a role in the Donna Pescow sitcom Angie, playing Angie's younger sister, Marie Falco.
Among her other credits were the 1973 feature film American Graffiti and the 1974 film Earthquake.
Scott also regularly appeared as a celebrity panelist on Match Game between 1976 and 1982. Scott continued to act, appearing in two Police Academy movies, but she later retired from acting and became an agent for a company in New York City called Empowered Artists. The last few years of Scott's life were replete with tragedy:
Scott's fiancé, Port Authority police officer John Dennis Levi, died during the 9/11 attacks. In March 2005, Scott moved from Brooklyn to Amelia Island, Florida to care for her ailing elder sister, Carol Anne, a producer who had worked on many Robert Altman films.
Soon after her arrival in Florida, Scott collapsed and lingered in a coma for several days before waking. Since doctors could not ascertain what caused the coma, she was released two days later. Three days later, on April 5, 2005, she took a nap and never woke up. She was three days past her 52nd birthday. Despite an autopsy, the cause of death remained uncertain. Scott's body was cremated. Her sister died of heart failure on July 13, 2006.

The first pay toilet in the United States was installed in 1910 in Terre Haute, Indiana. Pay toilets were prevalent in restaurants and other public buildings until the mid-1970s. However, a campaign by the Committee to End Pay Toilets In America (CEPTIA) resulted in laws prohibiting them in cities and states--legislation that was widely applauded by the public. In 1973, Chicago became the first American city to enact a pay-toilet ban. At the time, according to the Wall Street Journal, there were at least 50,000 units in America, mostly made by the Nik-O-Lok Company. CEPTIA was successful over the next few years in obtaining bans in New York, New Jersey, Minnesota, California, Florida and Ohio. Lobbying was successful in other states as well, and by decade's end, pay toilets were greatly reduced in America. However, they are surprisingly still in use in some places. Many people would be shocked to learn that pay toilets are once again legal as the CEPTIA-inspired bans from the 1970s have been repealed in many jurisdictions.

So, if you know anything about pictures, then you have most certainly heard of the Florida born native. Unless, you could be described as an outsider to the topic. In her heyday, she was incredibly on top in her profession. I bet you did not know who wrote the story that was brought out in the summertime of that year? In New York's centre, it captured what reflected American culture at the time. How about this, friend. Who was set to star but refused due to the shocking direction it was taking? Her involvement was changed. Yes, it came out the way it was intended. A statement of fashion that connected it together with the fear of a copycat.
