Mel Brooks is a comedic genius and this film proves it. It was actually filmed in the same castle as the original Frankenstein classic, and starred Gene Wilder, Marty Feldman, Peter Boyle, Madeleine Kahn,Teri Garr, Cloris Leachman, Kenneth Mars, and Gene Hackman. If you haven't seen it you're missing out on one of the funniest films of our generation.

One of my all time favorite British comedians. Marty Feldman puts out the cat, takes out the garbage and makes the cocoa. But what is he really doing? Many people think of him only as I-Gor in Mel Brooks' Young Frankenstein, but he accomplished so much more, including having his own tv show in the UK.

This is the 1976 motion picture trailer for Mel Brooks "almost silent" slapstick comedy film.
It kinda reminds me of a television commercial though. Anyway, I saw this movie in the theater, hard to forget it.
Mel Brooks movies were popular all-through the 1970s. This was his first film he really got to star in.

Originally released in December of 1975, 'The Adventure of Sherlock Holmes' Smarter Brother' had Dom DeLuise, Gene Wilder, Marty Feldman, and Madeline Kahn starring in it. They don't make movies like this anymore. Wilder kinda aimed it to be alike a Mel Brooks film.
