Bringing Up Father this is a 1919, comic strip re-print book. .i had NO IDEA it had been around this long: "Bringing Up Father" was a comic strip created by George McManus that ran from January 12, 1913 to May 28, 2000. Most readers, however, called it Maggie and Jiggs, after its two main characters. The strip was about an Irishman named Jiggs living in the United States who comes into wealth but still wants to keep his old pals, eat corned beef and cabbage (sometimes called Jiggs dinner), and hang out at the tavern, much to the consternation of his wife, Maggie, a social climber.

magic roundabout Le Manège enchanté (known in English as The Magic Roundabout) was a children's television programme created in France in 1963 by Serge Danot. Some five hundred five-minute-long episodes were made and were originally broadcast between 1964 and 1971 on ORTF. However, it was in the United Kingdom that the series became best known. The English version was narrated by Eric Thompson, the father of Emma Thompson, and broadcast from 18 October 1965 to January 1977. This version of the show attained cult status, and was watched as much by adults for its dry humour as by the children for whom it was intended.

Fargo In 1987, Jerry Lundegaard (William H. Macy), a car salesman from Minneapolis, Minnesota with financial troubles, hatches a plan to end his financial difficulties. Through his mechanic, a former criminal named Shep Proudfoot, he enlists the service of two hit men, Gaear Grimsrud (Peter Stormare) and Carl Showalter (Steve Buscemi), at a bar in Fargo, North Dakota to kidnap his wife, Jean, who will be returned unharmed for a payment of $80,000. Jerry's secret plan is to tell his wealthy but antagonistic father-in-law, Wade, that the ransom is $1,000,000 intending to use the large difference to settle unspecified debts he has accrued and to invest in a business venture involving a parking lot...another black comedy that i thought was terrific! I also got a kick out of how much and how often the local police chief, heavily pregnant Marge Gunderson (Frances McDormand)and her sweet husband, Norm, ate!!

Father Mulcahy MASH Interview Some of the most innovative episodes of MASH were those that featured the characters being interviewed by a newsreel crew. One of the most memorable sequences was when Father Mulcahy was asked if he had been changed by his wartime experiences.

1972/74 - Wait Till Your Father Gets Home 'Wait till Your Father Gets Home' was a syndicated cartoon series that was shown for 2 years, starting in 1972. I often watched it at the 7:30 time slot. This cartoon delt with family issues which was totally different than a kids show. Tom Bosley was featured as the father. Next, he went on to the series 'Happy Days'.

Featured Member- jedwgrn aka Jack My name is Jack and this trek of mine began in Dallas in '49. Raised in Irving, TX, I am one of seven kids which made for a crowd in a small house and you had to not be the last to the table during chow time. Now, I am the father of four and the grandfather of nine and I am proud of everyone of them. Just ask me, I have pictures. My family was and is the primary focus for most of my life and kids in sports and other activities claimed most of my free time. These are the days I thought I would have more time for myself, not so. I seem to be busier now than ever. April marks my 40th anniversary with the US Army in one capacity or another. Talk about being a lifer. In April of '69 I was drafted into the Army in Dallas, spent two years in (infantry and Vietnam) and then got out. The next two years I went to school while a reserve member and then returned to active duty in 1973. My military retirement was effective July of 1992. I retired as a Master Sergeant after serving as a First Sergeant for seven years. Immediately thereafter I returned to service in a civilian capacity, which is where I remain. Today it still is all about soldiers. I work and teach in a dental prosthetics laboratory for an Army residency program that has Army and Navy dentists to include two Canadian officers as residents. I have a job that I really like what I do. So, as I have always asked myself, 'Where to from here?' Haven't got a clue - perhaps this is the last stop, God willing.

My Little Margie Comic Book 1955 My Little Margie was a situation comedy that alternated between CBS and NBC from 1952 to 1955. It premiered on CBS as the summer replacement for I Love Lucy on June 16, 1952... Set in New York City, the series starred Gale Storm as 21-year-old Margie Albright and former silent film star Charles Farrell as her widowed father, 50-year-old Vern Albright. Both shared the same apartment at the Carlton Arms Hotel.
