British stop motion animated children's television series. The first episode was broadcast by the BBC on November 16, 1969 and a further twenty-five episodes were made. The twenty sixth episode was broadcast on November 10, 1972 and the final Clangers programme was a four minute election special on October 10, 1974. The programme featured a number of small creatures living in peace and harmony on - and in - a small, hollow planet far far away, nourished by Blue String Pudding, and Green Soup harvested from the planet's volcanic soup wells by the Soup Dragon. The Clangers looked similar to mice and anteaters, though they were pink, wore clothes, and spoke in whistles. These whistles (performed on swanee whistles)followed the rhythm and intonation of a script in the English language, including swear-words!

Network series that ran from 1974-1975. Carl Kolchak, played so well by Darren McGavin, was a reporter for Chicago's Independent News Service, and a magnet for situations involving the supernatural. He turned his investigative skills to vampires, werewolves, zombies and all kinds of legendary creatures, but in the end he always failed to convince his skeptical editor, Tony Vincenzo, played by Simon Oakland, that the stories weren't just products of his own overworked imagination. I was so faithful to this show, and was so disappointed when they cancelled it.

Julie Adams has made many films and television appearances during the past 50 years but is probably best known for her role in Creature from the Black Lagoon in 1954. . .

The small city of Tarker's Mill is startled by extreme sadistic murders. The population fears that this is the work of a maniac. During a search a mysterious, hairy creature is observed. This strange appearance is noticed once a month. People lock themselves up at night, but there's one boy who's still outside.......and he's preparing the barbecue. I just LOVE Stephen King!!!

This kids show ran for years in the UK. Based on the book by Elisabeth Beresford these furry long nosed creatures recycled rubbish left behind by us untidy humans.
Mike Batt provided the music and at the time kept some of the biggest bands in the world from the top spot on the charts here. All the voices for the characters were provided by Bernard Cribbens, a well known British actor of the time.

Nick Park made these for an electrical supplier in the UK. Better known for his Wallace and Gromit movies, all the voices used were un-scripted by ordinary members of the public being asked what they thought of their total heating package? Nick and Aardman productions then took these and used the characters from an earlier hit of his, Creature Comforts, and used his magic to create the ads. Love the Scottish pandas.
