Colonel Sanders on Whats My Line I don't know if Lava1964 already posted this WML yet, but this one amazed me, not for the fact that Colonel Sanders was a guest, but it wasn't a blindfold segment. I guess even famous people had days when they were only known to their friends and family. This clip is from 1963, the year before he sold his American franchises.

Werner Klemperer Interview Werner Klemperer (Colonel Klink from Hogan's Heroes) is interviewed by Pat Sajak on the latter's short-lived talk show. Pat replaces Werner's beloved souvenir monocle which had recently been stolen. Aw!

Paths of Glory Trailer Here is the original theatrical trailer from the First World War flick Paths of Glory (1957). Directed by Stanley Kubrick, it tells the story of inhuman French generals ordering a suicidal attack on an impregnable German position. When the attack fails, for the sake of morale and discipline, three soldiers are chosen to be executed for cowardice. One is selected randomly, another is chosen because he is 'socially undesirable,' and the third is chosen because the general has a personal issue with him. Kirk Douglas gives a great performance as regimental commander Colonel Dax who tries to stop the insanity. This film was banned in France until 1975. (It was also banned in Germany, where it was filmed, because the German government did not want to harm its diplomatic relations with France.)

In Their Own Words In Their Own Words .. Remembering the Forgotten Theater of World War II The China - Burma - India Theater Throughout the history of the world, in times of peril and aggression, nations have called upon their military forces for defense against their enemies. Our country has been very fortunate for, whenever the men and women who comprise our Army, Navy, air forces and other services have been called upon; they have served their country bravely and faithfully, regardless of where they were sent or what they were asked to do. Many Americans remember their dedicated service and are appreciative of their performances, but, too soon after the danger is over, the services of these veterans fade into oblivion. 1st Lt. Colonel Sanders on Whats My Line Here's one for the archives! Colonel Harland Sanders, the magnate of Kentucky Fried Chicken, appears on What's My Line as a regular contestant on December 1, 1963. Even though there were more than 900 KFC restaurants in existence at the time, the panel does not know who he is! Unbelievable!
