Mason Williams Classical Gas LOL this is a little complicated. The song was a hit in 1968 so that's where I posted it. The Smother Brothers Show aired until 1969. This aired in 1988 when the Writers Guild went on strike so The Smothers Brothers were briefly back on the air and when this clip was actually aired!

AIR SUPPLY Live in Hawaii 1984 "Every Woman in the World" The duo of Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock met in May of 1975 while performing in the Australian production of the Andrew Lloyd Webber/Tim Rice musical, Jesus Christ Superstar. Their 1980 album, Lost in Love, contained three U.S. Top Five singles, including the title track, plus "Every Woman In The World" and "All Out of Love" (sample). The album sold two million copies in the U.S. The following year they released "The One That You Love" and the title song was released as a single and went number #1 on the Billboard Singles Chart. It also featured two other Top 10 hits, "Here I Am" and "Sweet Dreams". Their third album, in 1982, "Now & Forever", continued the group's popularity with the Top 10 hit, "Even The Nights Are Better" and two top 40 singles "Young Love" and "Two Less Lonely People In The World". However, Air Supply wasn't finished yet. In spite of the somewhat declining popularity of "Now & Forever" compared with previous releases, the next year would prove very big for the band. in 1983, they released their "Greatest Hits" album with a new single called "Making Love Out Of Nothing At All" written by Jim Steinman. The song was one of their biggest hits ever spending three weeks at number 2 and the album eventually sold 5 million copies. Air Supply released their first live video, Air Supply Live in Hawaii. In 1985, they had one semi-major Billboard hit with "Just as I Am" and a couple of very minor hits. Russell and Hitchcock recorded a 1987 Christmas album before taking a break from studio recordings. During this time, Russell Hitchcock released his self-titled in 1988 which was not a big seller. However, he did have the single "Swear To Your Heart" in 1990 from the movie soundtrack for "Arachnophobia" which received a lot of airplay.

Luther VanDross A House is not a Home Live A clip from 1988, in which Luther VanDross sings "A House is not a Home" live. He, more or less, sings this song directly to Dionne Warrick, who, recorded it originally. With the exception of "Stop to Love" Live at Wembley, I think this is the best Luther VanDross performance ever.

Carly Simon Coming Around Again Coming Around Again was Carly Simon's 14th album, and 13th studio album, released in 1987. The title song peaked at #18 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Simon's twelfth Top 40 hit in the USA. It was also a top 10 hit in the UK. The album itself reached #25 in both the US and the UK and was certified platinum by the RIAA in February 1988. It's just a great, great song!

BEETLEJUICE Made in 1988, and directed by Tim Burton, it starred Alec Baldwin, Michael Keaton, Geena Davis, Winona Ryder, Jeffrey Jones, Glenn Shadix and Catherine O'Hara. The title role was played with relish by Michael Keaton, who had the most fun with a male role since Jack Nicholson's devil in "The Witches of Eastwick.

Lady in White Locked in a school closet during Halloween 1962, young Frank Scarlotti witnesses the ghost of a young girl and the man who murdered her years ago. Shortly afterward he finds himself stalked by the killer and is soon drawn to an old house where a mysterious Lady In White lives. As he discovers the secret of the woman, he soon finds that the killer may be someone close to him. This is a 1988 film that never received a lot of attention, but it was one terrific story, a kind of fantasy/mystery all wrapped up into one very good film. I haven't seen it on TV for several years, but if you happen to see it advertised, make it a point to watch it, you won't be sorry. It starred Lucas Haas and Kathryn Hellmond.
