Elizabeth Montgomery Bewitching Elizabeth Montgomery was the daughter of silver-screen actor Robert Montgomery, and got her start on his TV show ROBERT MONTGOMERY PRESENTS. After marrying second husband Gig Young in 1956, Montgomery shied away from films but made numerous appearances on popular TV shows. Upon their 1963 divorce, Montgomery returned to making films, but third husband William Asher cast her as "Samantha" on the 1964-72 ABC-TV series BEWITCHED. If you look fast, you can see her in a cameo role in the 1965 beach party flick HOW TO STUFF A WILD BIKINI, at the end of the film. After ending BEWITCHED, Asher and Montgomery divorced; she then went on to make many TV movies and married her sometime costar, Robert Foxworth. Sadly, Montgomery passed away at the age of 62 in 1995...this early glamour shot of "Sam" blows me away . . not the way i am used to seeing her!

The Seven Year Itch Often cited as one of the great comedies of its time, the film version won critical acclaim and became the biggest US box office hit in the summer of 1955. It contains one of the most iconic images of the 20th Century in which Marilyn Monroe's dress is blown up above her waist by a passing train underneath a subway grate she is standing on. A famous quote, "Isn't it delicious?" has originated from this scene and was even posed as a question on the game show WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE? and a bit more TRIVIA ~ both Jimmy Stewart and Walter Matthau were considered for the part of the middle-aged husband, tempted by his sexy, blonde neighbor . . . . . . Actor who got the part: Tom Ewell

The Governor and JJ These are the opening and closing credits for the CBS sitcom The Governor and J.J. The show ran from September 23, 1969 to December 30, 1970. It starred Dan Dailey as Governor William Drinkwater, a widower, and Julie Sommars, as his daughter J.J. (Jennifer Jo) who served as his official hostess when she was not working at the zoo. It was one of the few 1960s sitcoms that was filmed before a live audience. It is mostly remembered today as the answer to a TV trivia question: What sitcom was replaced midway through the 1970-71 season by All in The Family?

Tokio Kid WWII Propaganda Posters During the Second World War, the U.S. government produced a series of anti-Japanese propaganda posters featuring a caricature dubbed the Tokio Kid. (Tokio was a common spelling of Tokyo at the time.) These posters, featuring absurd exaggerations of Asian facial features and pidgin English, warned Americans that wasteful habits and slacking off on the job could aid the enemy.

SNLs Coffee Talk With Mike Myers A Classic Linda Richman's (Mike Myers) hero was Barbra Streisand. She constantly "dedicated" the show to her, often claiming her to be the greatest actress in all of history. In what could be considered to be the sketch's most memorable moment, Myers was joined by two special guests Madonna and Roseanne Barr as two other Jewish women (and they were authentic, take my word!). They discussed Streisand's movie, The Prince of Tides, on the show. Near the end of the sketch, the women compared Barbra to "buttah"-and suddenly, a voice announced, "All this talk about food, I'm getting hungry, girls." It was Streisand herself in a surprise appearance; none of the actors had any idea that she was to appear. All three managed to remain in character as the audience went wild. Though Streisand only stayed long enough to give each character a kiss and wave to the audience, the moment has become one of the most memorable in the show's history.
