Sit back and enjoy Abbott and Costello as they perform the classic Whos on First baseball sketch from their 1945 film The Naughty Nineties, first performed as part of their stage act.

A Classic Quinn Martin Production. This show was on past my bedtime as a kid, but my parents never missed it. I would sneak down the hallway and watch it and if my parents got up, I'd scurry back to my room pretending to be asleep, and I'd sneak out again. I remember always feeling sorry for him. Always on the run and lonely and his plight always saddened me. There would always be Gerard (Morse) hot on his heels. Great suspense and 1000 times better than the remake.

Prior to his role as the Riddler in the Batman TV series, Frank Gorshin was amazing audiences with his impressions. This clip (put together from 2 parts) was taken from the Ed Sullivan Show, probably in the early 60's. If you listen closely you can hear conductor Ray Bloch give him the cue to wrap it up, which he handles with his usual finesse.

Even though Bud Abbott played it straight for partner Lou Costello for years, he did have his shining moments, here's one of them when Bud shows Lou a magic trick that he's working on. It's from The Colgate Comedy Hour.
