Glad I took it too!

In 1975 I took typing because I knew computers were the future and I'd need to know it. Little did I know I would use it every single day!

Typing hadn't changed all that much by the early 60s when I took typing in high school.

I have an electric Smith-Corona typewriter that I probably haven't used in more than five years. It has ribbon cartridges. I have four unused cartridges in a dust-covered box. Once they're used up, the typewriter will be useless because Smith-Corona went out of business about a decade ago.

I still have a manual typewriter.
